I thought it would be nice to start a discussion for our children leaving the week of October 25th 2010.  Welcome everyone.  Kathy

Your right Betsy, I hope so too. I actually got a message from someone saying that I should change my user name to not include Drew's name for security reasons. I am thinking of changing it too. Susan
Betsy, It was JessicaB-Sailor Mom. It said if your user name contains your sailor's first or last name and/or your email address you should consider changing it. Susan
Good thinking. I'm sure mine being Susan probably won't work for me. Susan
I have heard that too, Susan. Kathy
I thought that we were all approved when we joined this site anyway?

I just put my first name on there now. Apparently, I must be the only Betsy on here, because I didn't have to add anything else.

Betsy
I am crying. Brandon just called and he sounded rehearsed but so good. Oh, goodness. No, he didn't ummm. Bless his heart. Kathy
Kathy,

I am so happy for you! I hope they are happy tears?

Betsy
He said he arrived safely and I would be getting a box in a week and a letter in 3 weeks. I am so happy right now. The feeling is wonderful. I hope it lasts for a while. Kathy
It will, trust me. I have been in a good mood all night since his call.

I just felt badly for my husband though, because when Adam called he got up to go to the bathroom and by the time he got back, Adam had hung up. I told him that it was so quick, that he probably wouldn't have been able to talk to him anyway.

He did talk to him earlier in the day, though, so at least he was able to do that.

Betsy
It will last. I agree with Betsy and I think that's why we have been in a pretty good mood since ours came earlier. I am wondering though about what they are saying. Has anyone else noticed the discrepancies? Adam told Betsy he would call in 2 weeks. Drew told me in call 1 he would call in 2 weeks and in call 2 he said he would call in 3 weeks. Heidi said she would call in 3 weeks. Brandon says he will write in 3 weeks. Maybe I am over analyzing this because it is almost midnight here. Susan
Oh Kathy I am so happy for you!! What a relief for you now. I figured with him being more mature that wouldn't be a problem. Susan
I was so worried that he would stay on the phone too long and get yelled at that I probably said goodbye earlier than I needed to. The beginning was forced but towards the end I could tell it was his normal voice. I feel like I have been blessed. Hugs to all of you for keeping my spirits up all night. Kathy
