I thought it would be nice to start a discussion for our children leaving the week of October 25th 2010.  Welcome everyone.  Kathy

Nancy, Let us know what Residence Inn says about making changes. I want to make mine by the end of the week.

Lori, Have a wonderful day tomorrow!! Sounds like you will have a great time!!

Susan
You guys...I hate to admit this, but I can't remember which Adam is going into subs? Let me know, I thought that maybe we could message (privacy) email addresses for our kids, since they will end up at Groton together, and then they could touch base before they get to BC... I THINK it's Betsy's Adam... let me know.

Susan - I will get on it tomorrow afternoon. I am a little nervous about waiting and figure hotel rooms should be easily changed. I will check into seeing if we can get a block of rooms or be on the same floor :-)
Hi Nancy....my Taylor is going into Subs as well
Elizabeth
Excellent. Is he going to Groton also? I know that Ian and Adam are both going. I have been bugging Ian to email Adam. His response was, "Really mom, just get me his last name...I'm gonna see him in two weeks anyway." I will make sure he sees pictures of your kids. And I will try to get his picture posted.
Nancy - Great idea about the block of rooms! Susan
What did you do today, to inch yourself towards a better tomorrow? I went shopping and now have 3 brand new outfits!
Hi All,
I just made my reservation for the Residence Inn. Here's the phone # 847-689-9240. They have a privacy policy so we can't get rooms together UNLESS one of makes reservations for all of us (using a credit card) OR we happen to walk up to the reservation desk together lol, so I don't see it happening. I asked for a "quiet" room Also-she offered me the military rate $159.00 for the one room suite. The AAA rate is $89.00 for the same room, so be sure to go with that. Oh yeah, we can cancel up until 4:00 PM of the day of arrival and still get refund, and we will all know WAY before that, and they email the receipt to you. I am going to put mine in a separate virtual file. I can never find real papers, but the virtual ones stay right where I put them.

Patti-I went back to curves yesterday for the first time in almost a YEAR, and I managed to return today...soooo that is my accomplishment. Three outfits would have been SO much more fun!! :-) Glad you had fun.
I booked the 16th-19th. Check out on the 19th. I figured the weekend would be long enough. I really had no idea.
Those are the dates I'm going to book too. We will have to drive home on the 19th so I can get back to work on the 20th. Hopefully our boys will be with us for Christmas :) Susan
Nancy, OK I am joining AAA!! I am going to call tomorrow to find out what the rate is for the 2 room suite. Thanks for doing the legwork on this for us :) Susan
I can answer that...the two bedroom suite is $139.00 with the AAA card. I am still thinking about getting it as we have three people and it puts Matt on the sofa bed. I am thinking he might prefer a bed, and I would be happier without him being in the "living room" in case I wake up in the night.
Nancy, thank you for the information. I like the idea of suites. I think I will go ahead and make reservations also. I wonder if this is the one across from the Mall? I will check. It would be nice if we were all in the same hotel. Kathy
