For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

thank you. We're proud of her. she is our baby, our last one to leave. I'm not looking forward to the empty nest thing. My son actually joined the Marines last year. So, hear we go again.
What is your son's name and where is he coming from? -

My son's name is stephen and we live on Long Island, New York, he was accepted into the Nuke program, so we will be spending time in the Carolina's for the next few years

Well, I'm all booked at the Residence Inn now. I have to say though, it would have been much easier if I had done it myself. (He wanted to use Marriott points, though). I really think he is clueless about this whole thing. He said, "if you could confirm his graduation date, this would be so much easier." LOL I told him, "Yeah, you think?" :)
Oh, and I ordered my scarf too, so I'm all ready!

Oh Susan, that's too bad. I had a bad cold a couple of weeks ago and took Dayquil to make it through the day. Wonderful stuff. Rest too. Hope you feel better!! Sending good thoughts your way. :-)

Welcome Jeanne, It is such a pleasure to meet the mom of Ashleigh. She is a wonderful person. As Patti said, our sons don't talk alot and we have enjoyed the perspective of your daughter. Yes, my son also leaves on the 25th and still wondering where the time went.
Lori, I am so sorry you are having a bad day. I know that lump. But Susan is right. We can get through this because we have to. I sure don't want the last week to be one of tears. He left to go to a bootcamp workout at the gym and I told him he will be back on leave. It is not like he will never be home again. He looks at me like "where did that come from" and then he says of course, mom.
Nancy, I will look back a few pages for the "target" link for the scarf. I looked back and it said "Old Navy". Is that part of Target? That scarf is very nice.
