Oh my...such catching up to do. You all have been VERY busy!

Hi Jeanne, it's great to meet you!! We love your daughter..especially those of with sons who are rather incommunicative (sounds like a disease) LOL! Ashleigh has kept us informed regarding the depper point of view, and I know I repeating some of the other moms, but it has been wonderful and made me feel better to "listen" to what she has said. You have an awesome daughter!!

Lori-sorry to hear you're having a tough day. Me too. I was at Curves and trying to tell the gal that I was working out to get ready for PIR and I KNEW that if I tried to talk I was going to fall apart. You know that "I can't get any words out" feeling. I think that ALL of us are feeling the time crunch!! I have been reading some of the posts from the moms whose kids have left (on this site), and they actually made me feel much better. They are on to the next step, and it actually seems like it's easier than what we are dealing with here. The good-bye process sucks, and the fear of the unknown almost haunts me. That MAY sound melodramatic, but really, it's how I feel right now. I will look for the scarf link and post it. But I have to end this cuz if I leave and come back everything I just typed will be gone. Ask me how I know. :-)
Hi Betsy, Yes.. I double checked. Let me know which discount is cheaper for you.
Nancy
Jeanne we are looking at the Residence Inn. Here's the phone # 847-689-9240

Lori-are you SURE the discount you got was better than AAA? And if so, that 's interesting as she offered me the military discount and it was $50 more for the same room than with the AAA. Did you get a one-bedroom suite? That's what I got. $89..military was $139. I am NOT questioning you, although it might sound like it, however I AM really wondering about the gal who did my reservations. Hmmmm...

Kathy- oh my gosh...no, not part of Target, it really is Old Navy. Sorry about that. It was the best, cheapest one I could find online...unless we want cashmere LOL, there were several of those, for slightly more than $16!! HA!

OK ladies, I will check back later. We really should come up with a chat time, would be a blast. I was reading through the comments last night and it was a hoot, but no one that I knew too well.
Nancy, I think Lori did say that the AAA discount was better than the military discount. At least I hope so because I joined AAA today to get the discount!!! LOL And I saw the scarf in person today and it looks great. In fact my 17 year daughter approved it and that's saying a lot :) Susan
Nancy - the hotel I was talking about was for MEPS swearing in - we are going down the night before. This hotel houses all recruits for MEPS and they provide the family with a discount. Yes, it was less to take the hotel's discount to military families by $10. Thanks for checking. I haven't reserved at room at the Residence Inn. Between work, the party, Philadelphia and other committments I haven't had any spare time this week. You can probably tell by how little I've been on the site!
I want to make sure its the right one - Old Navy, not Target right?
Booked tonight as well, for $139 for the 2 br. Suite - havent gotten the scarf yet, will do that tomorrow
Nancyian - I was wondering if you made it to the gym today... GOOD for you! three days straight, WOW im in awe :)
Patti-Yeah, well I'm on vacation. Year-round school. Teaching half a day to the "summer school" group. Gonna be harder when I go back full time. :-)
thanks, Nancy.
She's pretty special. It's gonna be hard not having her around here anymore.
Hi Kathy-
Thanks. My son joined the Marines last year so I no about the "boys not talking thing".
Ashleigh is like her mother and talks all the time. lol ;0)
