Santa hats sound like a good idea for graduation on the 24th!! Thanks for your info. Very useful.
My son Roger leaves on Monday, October 25th also - - and he will be going to A school in Pensacola too - - I don't want to get my hopes up too high, but I am really praying we will be able to have him home for Christmas also - - your post gave me much more hope that maybe he will be home :) But apparently we will not know anything until after that first week passes - - best of luck to you and your son, Drew! And I can tell you that feeling excited and sad at the same time better be normal or I am officially nuts!!!! Although the last couple of days, I have been feeling more sad than excited. Hopefully, those emotions will switch back around again and I'll be super excited for PIR !!!
Hi Susan, It is nice to meet you. Drew sounds like he is in very good shape and ready for Boot Camp. My son, Brandon, is getting there too with his PT. He is also going to A school in Pennsacola as CTR. I have heard somewhere here that they can't go home before A school but if you see something different let me know. My son is also ready to start his life in the navy. He signed in May and it was going slow until August. Now time is flying. Yes, to sad and excited. I am up and down lately with my emotions. I am going to miss him soooo much. Nice to have you in our group. Talk to you later.
Hope you don't mind my interjections here, hope they helped you to understand the BC training process a bit more. :) Keep chatting, keep supporting each other as you are. it really helps to know you aren't alone, that others feel just like you and are experiencing some of the same things. It's nice to connect in a smaller forum like this. Some of you just may end up at Divmates and/or PIRmates too! :-)
IDK exactly what the initals are for ...Cryptology (code deciphering) but I did see this... CTR's break it...CTT's fix it
LOL that's funny!
Yep...I thought it was (My son is an IT...computer geek)
My son is going to be IT also.
Cool, he'll enjoy Corry Station the smaller base near Pensacola. IT is self paced. My son didn't have to go to C school but Sobe' did..she's like me, hanging around to help. He's an IT and will go to C school. He's coming home for a visit between schools so we won't hear much from her after Friday. But, she is on tonight if you want to go to her profile and ask her any questions
That's great because Drew will be going to C school. Thanks!
OK, how do I find Sobe'? I am still trying to figure this site out.
To find Sobe...go to the Members tab and there will be a box with a little magnifying glass beside of it...type in Sobe and click on the magnifying glass
