Received my "call" at 11:30 last night. It seems the PIR date will be 12/20. I guess for now, just wait for the box, and an address for him. I found myself grabbing my phone to send him a quick text to see how he is doing... Seems odd to not be able to do that!! It is nice to know that I am not alone in this :)

My son left yesterday 10/23 from San Diego and I got the phone call last night around 6:00, now waiting for the KIB and the letter.

I recieved our call Tuesday night about 9:50.  She flew out at 3:00 Tuesday, Got an email from recruiter Wednesday (yesterday) with her address and a PIR date of 12/13/13.  any body else got anything?

ship 14 div 040  whatever that means

My son left on 22nd too out of Denver. Got the box today! It was good just to see his handwriting! Now wait for paper!

I know, right..... lol i came in from work today wondering if i missed the UPS truck!!!!! I hate waiting for the box!!!! :-)

My son also left from Denver.. I got his box yesterday :). I bet they flew out together.

My son left on 10/22 . He said he was ready I was very nervous; however proud. He called to say he was there and it was the shortest call I have ever had. I am praying for him and all the recruits success.

Yes, we all receive that short unpersonal phone call. We will pray for all our recruits too. They will need all our prayers. Waiting on their boxes now. Everyytime i see a UPS truck go by, i keep thinking... did i miss it????? I hate waiting for the box...... how are you holding up??????

@proudmomoftwo2013 I'm holding. Holding on to his words, holding on to the thought of him growing up and holding on to food in the fridge.lol Now on a real note The entire family is Happy for his accomplishment. I m just nervous because im not a father, a sister or a friend. I am a boy's mother. The mother who was in labor for 13 hrs to give birth to her only son. So i cant wait to get that box either.

The picture of me that i put in his wallet read. I will love you son to the moon and back. Mom is so proud of you.  You will always will be my little son, mom little bear i call him.lol  but you will return to me as a man your mother would be proud of.  Which i have always proud of him but a different proud. If that makes sense......  they do grow up too fast.....  i am glad his room is on the end of the house.  I cant go in is room without crying......  and yet we wait on the box and ur letter.  Eager to see or hear anything about our Sailor....

The box actually came Fed Ex. It seemed to come quite soon! I miss him too, but am praying that all the new recruits are leaning on each other!
