My boyfriend wrote saying he's watch? But he'll have liberty weekend free because of it. What does that mean? And in a later letter he wrote about having a week with me? How long does Liberty weekend last? He's an OS and his schooling will be at Virginia Beach. Also, he wrote about Christmas stand down, does that mean he gets to come home?

I was hoping that was the case. My husband isn't close to any of his family so he definitely won't have a blood relative there to sign him out!

oh no! maybe there's a way around the blood relative thing?

Never mind, you're married. Haha.

:) being married ahead of time is nice...at least I know I won't have to plan a wedding around crazy military schedules. And I'm already on his paperwork so getting stuff set up should be easier. Both my brothers are marines - one got married last yr and they had a small quick wedding with about 10ppl there and never were able to get the chance to have a big ceremony due to his schedule. My other brother is getting married next yr and they can't even set a date cuz he still doesn't have orders for when he will be back from Japan.

Ugh, see i REALLY want a nice wedding like with all my family. I just don't see it happening. With how busy he will be in all.

Im with you, we both wanted a wedding and not a JOP or anything so we set a date for 2014 lol...ill probably go crazy wanting to plan everything but I know we will both be happier that we waited so we cpuld have the wedding.

That's exactly how i feel! EXcept i don't want to wait till 2014! haha, we're thinking if possible during the time he gets off after A school.

My then bf got a chit so i could sign him out when i went for the weekend to get married. And we didnt have a liberty buddy. :)

I've been silently following this thread and I just want to say it's so helpful! My hubby leaves in Nov for bootcamp and will be staying in Great Lakes for both A- and C- school. I've been wondering what to expect as far as his liberty goes. Kylagrace - I have a lot to learn too!

Oh good! I'm not alone! haha.

not at all!

There are no "C" Schools in Great Lakes....what rating is yoru hubby going as?  I am going to guess AECF...if that is the case the "C" Schools are in VA NOT great Lakes.
