Jacob's mom - yes I'm pretty sure it is.

I'm sure they are about to get up pretty soon to work another long 16 hour day. I'm guessing they should be getting medical stuff taken care of (glasses/shots).  I remember getting TONS of shots when I first joined in 2001.

Do they really get their wisdom teeth pulled????
A friend of ours said she got to graduation and her son's wisdom teeth had all been pulled.  They say that it decreases the chance for sea sickness.?
My husband left yesterday.  I got the call last night that he arrived at about 12:30 chicago time.
that was a rough call for me. So short & not so sweet!
My daughter, my only child arrived in Great Lakes on 2/8. She is a hospital Corpsman. I have yet to receive a box or address. I am on vacation this week so I was able to take her to MEPS and watch her swear in. Then to spend as much time with her until cerfew the day before she got on the bus going to the airport. I am glad that I am on Vacation for the rest of the week, I am having myself quite the "pitty party." Looking around my house her stuff is everywhere still where she left it. I don't know if I should pick it up knowing my house will finally be clean and stay clean! Or leave it where she left it so it still feels like she is here. LOL I felt kind of bad when she called me from the airport asking how to make her coffee. It was a slap in my face that I had been doing too much for her. I know it will be difficult for her to go through bootcamp but, I could not be more proud of her.
You should be able to get the temporary address from the recruiter 72 hours after she left. You'll get the box in a week or so and the form letter in another week or so.
I'm afraid to call back at this point. They aren't very willing to give any information since he was officially theirs!
My son arrived in Great Lakes on 2/8 and he is also is a hopsital Corpsman. Where are you from? We haven't received our box yet either.  We are in Southern California.
I am from Southern California as well.

I guess it takes a little longer to get to us. I never thought I would be so excited to see my son’s dirty clothes. LOL

Will you be contacting your daughter’s recruiter to get her address?

I contacted both her recruiter and her cheif and they said they would not have an address until next week. It seems odd to me that some recuriters would have the information already and others do not. How about you? Any address from your son yet? I know I am pretty excited for the dirty clothes as well! LOL
