For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My husband left from Dallas the morning on March 1st, and called me to let me know he made it at 2am the next morning. I'd love to hear from someone who has a relative in his group!

Our son shipped out March 1 and we received the form letter with graduation date yesterday. He was allowed to write about 4 lines. Not much, but said he did get 2 hours of sleep on Tuesday night and the videos on Youtube were not very representative. Graduation is earlier than we were expecting - April 23. We immediately wrote a short note and ran it down to the post office to make the 3 pm pickup.

What ship and division is your son in? My husband left MEPS on March 1st and got to bootcamp on March 2 at 2am. I haven't received a letter yet..

We live here in the Midwest. Rather than have the recruiter pick him up, we drove the 350 miles down to Detroit on Sunday. He checked into the hotel on Sunday, Feb. 28 evening, processed at MEPS Monday morning and then flew to Chicago on Monday afternoon, March 1. We were able to witness the swearing in on Monday morning and spend an hour or so with him before they boarded the bus for the airport. His flight arrived in Chicago on Monday afternoon about 4 EST and we received the phone call about 10 EST monday night.

My husband left from California to Great Lakes on March 1st also! How are you holding up? I have my good days and my bad days...I just miss him so much! He is in Ship 10 also but division 168..I wonder if that means they do anything together! I received a letter today from the navy Cheif about graduation and Brent (my husband) was able to write in some areas, so it was GREAT to see his handwriting and to hear a little from him! Are you going to be at graduation on April 23rd?

Yes! Weren't you so excited to find out graduation was April 23rd?? We had been anticipating May 8, so it was a great surprise! Did your husband write in all capital letters on the form? Mine did, and I wonder if they make them write that way...hmmm. I can't wait for the first REAL letter.

YA!! He wrote in all capitals!! I was like hmmm...Ohwell :) :) I can't wait either! I have been sending letters and cards everyday. How are you holding up?

Better than I thought! The hardest part is being in charge of our toddler all by myself. Whew. I write him every single day, which helps A LOT. It is strange not being able to just pick up the phone and call whenever I want, though. I REALLY hope he's not a Grad n Go. That would just be too hard. What will your husband be doing for the Navy?

He is in the nuclear engineering program. So we are going to Charleston for all three of his schools, so that makes it nice. I can join him right away. I can't imagine taking care of a little one all on my own, we have a puppy and that keeps me plenty busy. 45 days left I think.....Yay!

Oh, my husband tested into the nuclear engineering program! We were all geared up for Charleston, and then found out he was too old (he's 26). So now, we're moving to Groton, CT where he'll attend school for a couple of years for submarine stuff. I'm so glad we can join him right away, as well!
