Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

May 5th Ship out families
Is there anyone out there who has heard from their sailor? I know the call will come later this evening, but I know some sailors are texting on the bus. Mine just sent me a short message. No response. Don't know if he is on the bus or still at the airport. Just wondered what everyone else is hearing.

Some divisions form upon arrival and send the form letter soon after sending "the box" but most of the divisions will not send the form letter until finishing P-days. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC.

Some of you with loved ones who shipped on this day will have recruits in an 800 division. Please remember OPSEC and PERSEC and DON'T post the division number if your recruit is in an 800 division. See 800 and 900 Divisions for other things you will want to know.
If you do have a recruit in an 800 division. Friend me and let me know and I can connect you with others with loved ones in the same division.

I got my box today. it was hard reading all the mom's and loved ones who received theirs thursday and friday. Now knowing people are receiving letters and I have not is hard. I really hate being a day behind.

I got my box on Friday, then received the letter yesterday. So, maybe yours is coming today! Did you look at the pictures on the Navy RTC Facebook page? They posted pictures for mothers day, you should look through them to see if you see your child's picture there. I found my baby girl!! Yesterday was a much better day - seeing her and then getting her letter!!

So glad you were able to see your daughter! I found my son in one of the photos and even though it was a distance shot my eyes zeroed in on him immediately. I'm still amazed at how much better I felt just seeing that photo.

Yes, it was the best feeling I've had since she left!! Then I got the letter, so made it even better. I slept really well last night!

I didn't get my letter. It is so hard reading all these loved one's be excited about having letters. My husband is my best friend. It's hard not having him around or talking to him. I just feel like I am delayed. And knowing my mail doesn't usually show up on Wednesday or Thursday means I will have to wait even longer.
