Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I wonder if all the recruits that arrived in Feb 23 are in divisions with PIR date of April 15?
I don't know, I was hoping for that, I'm thinking maybe it depends on the time of day they arrive, my son arrived in the evening, well that's when I got the call anyhow.
My son arrived late Tuesday night so maybe that's why. Keep me posted Mrents and NavyWifeLife! Hang in there !

It has been 10 days since he left and still no letter :( yet I got his box a week ago...

Same here NavyWifeLife, he left the 23rd,got the box Monday the 29th, but still no letter :(
My son left the 22nd. I received his box the 27th but I still haven't received a letter. I'm freaking out!!!!
Same here Nukemom2016. My son left 2/23. Received the box on the 29th but still I letter. I wonder what the reason is for the delay. It's driving me crazy!

The Form Letter arrives an average of ten days after the recruit's arrival at the RTC. Some will have it 7 days after arrival (a few earlier than that, but not many) and most will have it by 14 days after arrival. If your recruit is placed in an integrated division, one with both males and females, then it may take longer to fill the division than if your recruit is in an all male division.

Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.

Looks like a lot of us on here haven't gotten the letter, which means the majority of people probably haven't! Lets try to stay calm.... I'll keep you guys updated and you please do the same!
