When did your recruit leave? I'm so sorry you haven't received anything yet. Hang in there and let us know what you find out!
He left early afternoon Feb 23. I'm going to the recruiting office today, to see if his recruiter can give me an address.

From the Official RTC Facebook FAQ:

HOW DO I FIND OUT MY RECRUIT'S ADDRESS/GRADUATION DATE?

The recruits send home a form letter during their first week of training that will contain the above information. They hand-address the envelopes and choose who will receive this letter. If you need another copy, you would need to write to your recruit to request one. To confirm a division's graduation date, you may find a listing here: www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp Do not depend on your local recruiters to have an accurate address for your recruits. Some recruits do change ships (barracks) during the first couple of weeks, thus, the initial address you may have obtain from a recruiter will be incorrect.

HOW SOON CAN RECRUITS SEND/RECEIVE MAIL?

Recruits can begin receiving and writing letters the first Sunday they are in their permanent ships (barracks). They spend anywhere from one to two weeks (depending on what division they were placed into) in a different location on base. Any mail sent to them before they are even in their ships may possibly be delayed reaching them by up to three weeks. All letters must have a complete/accurate address that includes a recruit's division number. Misaddressed letters will be delayed in reaching your recruit. To ensure you have the correct address for your recruit's ship, visit our website at: www.bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp

I have gone to the recruiting office, they did give me a ship #, division, and PIR date, but the address does not match up with what the website says, so now what?
Ship 3, division 158, PIR date of 4/15/16. Still no letter in the mail today.
Thank you so much for the information.
Woo Hoo...finally, he's on ship 3, div 158 also PIR date of 4/15/16. What a long 2 week wait, but feel much better :-) thanks.
Yay...I know you feel so much better just knowing!!!
I feel 100% better. That was the longest 2 weeks ever, although I'm sure it seems way longer for them :-)
So glad you finally got your info! It has been a long 2 weeks! What a relief!
My son arrived at boot on 2/23. I have received his box and form letter. This is the longest I have ever gone without any form of communication with my son and I have to say I don't like it very much. I have seen where a fellow SR on same ship and division has been able to call home twice now and reported that they have been able to write letters, but they won't be mailed out until next Monday. I think I have this figured out now.....there's a reason behind everything they do, but it doesn't make sense many times.
