For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My birthday I should be happy.
Yesterday, was my 27th birthday and I didn't even want to get out of bed. My husband left for bootcamp on Sept, 2nd and its only week two. The first week was really hard after the last phone call "Hey I will call you in three weeks "love you bye CLICK .Then my 3 year old daughter wanted to say I love you daddy . However, there wasn't enough time made me break down. Its crazy because I never thought I would be this emotional. Ive been apart from my husband before for work , but the fact that I have no communication gives me Anxiety. I have so many questions and Im just a worrier thats what I do. However, Just realizing the small things we take advantage of makes me appreciate life more. I received his box the other day and even though its just his phone and clothes it was still nice to get something. I just have to remind myself that he is there to better himself, he isn't in trouble he isn't dead, or sick. He's doing something that he's finally took the courage to do. Next week is week 3 . Does anybody know what day they called on? Also if you guys received any letters by the end of week 2? Any advice welcomed. TIA.

There is no way to know the exact day or time that your husband's RDCs have scheduled the phone calls for his division. Keep the phone charged and within arm's reach.

It will get better. When my son left in August I thought I would never get through it and now in 3 weeks we will be there for PIR. I am so proud of him.Once the letters start arriving it gets easier, then before you know it you will receive some phone calls. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you same here. It's start of week three. I'm feeling much better. The first week I was a mess. Did you receive he 2nd phone call at the end of week three ?

I believe that was around the time of the first call. I have had two more calls after that and he is doing well. Stay strong.
