For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

It has been sooo much harder then I thought it would be. :/
Anyone else have a Sailor in bootcamp that left 10-14-11?
Lets chat. I'm in desperate need for a friend that's going through what I am. Mine don't seem to understand nor care much.

Yes at first they only get to write on Sundays during their holiday routine.. they have 7 hours on Sundays to do whatever they want really but believe it or not they still have a lot to do... a lot of them spend some of that time sleeping or taking a longer shower... they still have to do their ironing, making their beds, they still have to make sure their racks and zones are up to inspection because they still can have random inspections, especially at 1 when their holiday time ends. Also in the first couple of weeks they are still getting used to things, so they may not have as much time to write, they might have watch, or they might be studying or even working out on their own. So if he was rushed it's because even though it's their "free" time they still have A LOT to do! Also a few weeks from now (maybe 2 or 3 more) they'll be allowed to write on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Hello ladies I want to start out by welcoming you lades trust me you ladies are not alone we have or are currently feeling how you feel. My sr left on aug3 its been 3 weeks so far. Bootcamp is def a rollercoaster of emotions one min ur happy the next min ur sad. And as crazy as this might sound getting leeters and phone calls really gets the emotions going. Ur happy because you heard from them but then your sad because it makes you miss them more. I am here if you need to speak. And like you said most people don't understand how we feel. You have to go through this to know the pain we are in.

yeah things were fine till this evening. this whole breaking out in random fits of crying totally sucks! its so draining! but i know ive got to just stay strong and make it to graduation which will be sooo close before i know it! I do wish that there were others on here that i knew of whose son, brother, fiance, boyfriend, or husband is in the same division as my fiance.

It seems like you got your fiance's address super early, most people won't start getting their letters until next week from his division. So try and stay patient for just a little longer & sometime next week you will notice lots more people in his div! Also someone (could be you if you want!) Is going to start a group for your fiance's training group (that's all the divisions he's graduating with!) So you can all find each other & get to know each other! After its been made there are some veteran mom's who've already been through PIR & will join to help you guys out :) Having that support from other people in his division is really helpful, and it's fun to see who his friends are there and compare them with the people you meet on here to see if it's anyone's son or bf or husband that you've been talking to!

My fiance left home on 8/14. Saying good bye was awful, I cried all morning and through lunch. He was so strong, even though I know he was going through a lot too. The next few days were bad, I must have gone through a whole tissue box in a few days. The days are getting better, but certain movies and songs throw my day. I write everyday and that has helped. It feels like I'm still telling him about my day, just like if he were here. I know it will get easier as we get accustomed to military life. For now, I was happy to see his handwriting and the note he wrote on the letter I got today. They are expected to graduate on 10/14.

I know exactly what you mean! My boyfriend left on 7/11, the first time I went out with my friends after he left the band played our song... when we first started dating we would hear it EVERYWHERE we went, in the car, in stores, even in restaurants so it became like a joke, "Well that must be our song then!" (I Want You to Want Me!) and he worked at a bar that did a karaoke night, he would sing it to me all the time too! I seriously started bawling in the bar lol and had to go home!
