Sometimes we I get our ETs and FCs confused or simply not sure which sailors are what rate so it was suggested that we start a new list so if you don't mind signing in to the the appropriate forum...I won't call your sailor an FC, if you don't call my sailor an ET!!! :-D

My Sailor is an FC, named Nick and he is currently in C school @ Dahlgren

Our son is not a complainer either so it could be YEARS before we ever find out if he dislikes the Navy!

So...your son was one of the USS Comfort FCs?! I was just talking to another FC mom today that was telling me that a big slew of them went to the Comfort and another bunch went to GITMO. The orders did not seem to get so backed up this year, our son went directly to C school.
I'm glad Nick had a smoother transition. I'm also glad Scott got to go on the Comfort .. something that will always be on his resume. He remembers the canal the best .. and I remember watching the ship go through the canal on the webcam.

I know .. I'm not sure if it's that he's not a complainer or that he's a male! Thank goodness I had 3 daughters first and they shared so much of what was going on in their lives, at school, etc. Scott & Andrew do no such thing and I find out much more (if anything) from friends. At least when they were around here I did. Sometimes the silence is so loud. :-)
Could be that male thing! It does seem like his sister keeps me up to speed more on Nick's activities than Nick does. Girls are so much more...sharing :-)
GIrls are more sharing?! Well - my daughter is only when she has something on her mind....such as - a ride, money, or permission to do something....LOL!!!

Dan is the same way, he doesn't complain one bit (I do it for both of us) he brought home during liberty, another sailor and all he did was complain!!! Oh my, he absolutly hated the Navy - he hated everything about it - Danny finally told him, every so cool and collected, that "you know what (****) it might be hard for you to believe it but there are sailors that actually like the Navy - I'm one of them?"

I couldn't help but smile, because listening to that negative talk sort of had me worried....but once I heard Danny make that comment and I TRULY know in my heart that Dan does like what he is doing, I felt so much better!!! That other sailor is STILL in A school - no where near graduation either. He just doesn't care - at all!!!
My husband is an FC2 on the Rodney M Davis! YAY! GO DAVIS! :-)
My sailor graduated from BC 1/15 and is in INDOC now, then hoping hold is not too long for SCC, ATT and A school, his name is Ryan!
Hi to all,
Our sailor is hanging around waiting for ATT - right now she is maintenance. Anne - is your hubby done with SCC?
No hes got the rest of this week and all next week too.It is going so slowly!!!!
My son just finished in GL and has been assigned to San Diego, CIWS school. We live in Mammoth Lakes, CA, so we are thrilled he will be close.
Hi Lynda - CCRs son reported to CIWS school in December - they may know each other. You are fortunate to have him so close to home. How long is his C school?
Jimmy just graduated A school yesterday and starts C school @ Dahlgren on 2/23. We're not sure when he has to report
so we're enjoying what time we have with him. The graduation ceremony was really nice, I'm glad we were close enough to be able to go.
Our sailor got an apartment 10 minutes away from base and the apartment is not Navy-based. She did sign a lease with the clause that should the Navy move her - she could break the lease without any negative consequences. She came back to MN, picked up her things and her new spouse - she is now setting up house as she waits for ATT to start.
By the way, she is thinking that ATT will be starting in a couple of weeks . . . . .
