Super hard leaving him at Meps but his swear in was very neat to see. Love that we got a certificate of the swear in. Already framed and up. How do I know if he is in P-holding or P-Days. It's really hard not knowing what is going on. His recruiter gave me his address already so I have sent a letter everyday so far. Just waiting to get my first letter from him.

My fiance arrived on the same day! I am anxiously awaiting any new from him :(

My son arrived 9/10. No form letter or address yet. You got a certificate? We didn't. ..
My son left on 9/10 and we didn't receive a certificate. What does that mean, we did receive a letter from fed ex that they tried to do a delivery but not home.

It doesn't mean anything. Some MEPS give a certificate when a recruit is sworn in. Be sure to sign and leave the note from FedEx on your door or you can sign and date your own note for the FedEx driver to leave "the box" or you can go get it.

I don't think all Meps give one. We were lucky. I'm still waiting for my form letter and box. Want to start planning our trip. Anyone in Ship 3 Division 357?

Not yet; form letters through Division 352 are coming in, so you have a few more days. Ten days after arrival is average for the form letter. PIR should be 11/07/2014 for that division. We encourage loved ones to wait on the form letter and not get the address from the recruiter as you did, so most with loved ones who arrived with your recruit do not know the division yet.

My son is division 352 and I received the letter yesterday.  PIR is scheduled for 10/31!!

PLEASE change your Username and the URL to your My Page. It is not good for you to be posting your email address for EVERYONE with access to the web to see every time that you post a comment or reply. Check your My Page for a comment from me about that and/or go to OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) and make at least changes 1, 2, and 3.

My son left on 9/10 too. The box arrived today, but no letter or address yet. No certificate either, but the ceremony was very nice, especially since there were only four swearing in that day.
