is there a group for ship12 div034 yet??
ship12div034 nope...but join your PIR group http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir10711
I have thanks Jessica
Hi all,
My son is SHIP DIV 034 and PIR is 1/7/11. We miss him terribly but have started the letter writing. He called when he got there on 11/3 and then 3 days later. What a wonderful surprise! His note on the form letter said I am doing great and enjoying it. What an encouragement to a mom!
We are daily praying for him and have many others committed to praying. May God uphold each of our young people as they are put to the test daily and give us the resolve to pray earnestly for them all.
Mine is Ship 12, Div. 036. I started a discussion on the PIR 1/7/11 site. That may be as close as you get.
We have three people so far in Div. 036.
There is a Ship 12, Div. 034 discussion in the 1/7/11 PIR site. Ignore the next comment. I found the discussion just now. Sorry, away for the weekend without a computer. My bad.
My son is also ship 12 and div 034. I did receive the phone call the night he arrived which was the 3rd and the formal letter on the 8th. I haven't received any other letters or calls. I miss him teribly and this weekend has been hard not having anycontact to know how he is doing? Has anyone else with a loved one in the ship 12 div 034 received anything??? Also he said his graduation date would be 01/07/11
Regina, I understand how you feel - I felt depressed and weepy yesterday - the weekends are the hardest. It's especially hard when people ask if I have heard from him and of course I haven't. Leaning on God's word for comfort. We announced at church today that all can write to him but not to expect anything back. Writing letters does help but being a prayer warrior for your son is encouraging to you and beneficial for him. I will pray for you now.
I can't say thank you enough. We believe in prayer too!! Our church also had a presentation today for Veteran's Day and they honored my son with being the youngest of all the Veterans at our church. We have a membership of over 400 and that was very special to me and my daughter. I know so many in our church are also praying for him. I have had the same thing this weekend, especially at church with all the people asking if I had heard from him. At one point during Sunday school, I had to get up and go out for a bit!!! It has been a really tough weekend. Have you received another phone call yet or have you received a letter? I am so thankful to have found this website where there are other moms with sons and daughters in the same ship and division with the same PIR date!!!! It is like a family that God places together and I am sure we are from all over the country but now we will always have this in common with each other!!! God Bless You!!
