For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi there! I don't think we've met yet - but I'm Lace and my son is Ship 10 Div 256 -- but I'm afraid I'm a long, long way from New england........it's Lace in WA - -like the state......lol.............How are you holding up? Any letters yet? There's a bigger group - PIR date 7/30/2010 -- it's more than just our ship and division - but it's fun - and we are all going to be there at the same time so there's some interesting stuff on a Meet and Greet that Thursday the 29 -- you should check it out.....Best from Lace

Hi, thank you so much for the info. I just got the one notice from him so far. Danny is not the greatest at writing...lol. He is 22 and thinks he doesn't need mom anymore. It's true, but you know how it is with our baby's, can't let go. I look forward to this experience. His twin brother is in the Army Reserves, he is on hold to leave for Iraq.

Very Sad today...I missed his call today. I hope you were able to speak with yours. Mine was a bit upset. its so much harder than he expected. We knew it would be, but just hearing his voice made me want to run out there and bring him home. OMG my baby is growing up and I cant make things better anymore. Sorry to dump this on you, just needed to get it off my chest.

alrighty then ... and how do you know who's scheduled to make phone calls???? are they published somewhere? what a sweet thing! I'm guessing the priveleges of making calls are given to the divisions as they earn them? or do not get the privelege taken away? We did in fact get a call from our boy on the 23rd! and yes, he's ship 10 div 254. The call was great! You kinda feel like you're floating on air for the rest of the day.

Hi, I'm sorry you missed your call, Michael is ship10 div 256, we received two letters today and his phone call. He only had four min. but it was great. He was doing very good. He said he was made RCPO which means he calls the candinces for the group and has to get up 30 min. earlier to make sure everyone else is up. Tell your son to hang in there they on have 5 wks to go.

Oh that is so nice to hear. Congratulations. I just wrote him and sending it right out. I may not survive another 5 weeks. He is such a mama's boy. He used to tell me all the time before leaving that he couldn't wait to go and to prove that he could do this all alone. As a mom, I new better. I hope we can all meet over their. It makes it a little easier to know that someone else is in my shoes. Thank you so much.

how hard it must have been to hear that he was upset. My friend told me to be prepared for that phone call. To just listen and encourage big time. The next phone call will likely be very good. My husband and I are not having a difficult time during this time. BUT are still anxious at times. Hang in there! Think of it as a super summer camp. Your mama's boy will transition to a great sailor man who still loves and appreciates his mama. You've done a great job as his mother so far. Your job will never ever be done. Keep encouraging! The fact that they were able to make calls tells me the division is doing good! Many, many boys have gone before ours. Many, many boys have emerged as great men. Ours will be part of the many, many!

Your right. Thank you for the encouragement. I have raised them alone and it's just hard. I am very proud that he, and boys like yours, have decided to make this their way of life. Your right, they must be doing good, otherwise they would not have called. That helps. I continue to pray for mine, yours and all of them. That god and all the angels guide and help them. Thank you, once more.
