My son left for boot camp on Tuesday, when he got there he was able to call me at 10:07 pm, the phone call was so short I could not even ask how was the flight! He was able to tell me that he got there safely, that I would receive a box with his personal things and that he would call me in about 3 weeks.... I wish the call was not so late and rushed... I know that this is a new experience for him but he sound so nervous. I received an email from his recruiter yesterday with his mailing information. Do any one know if the address will change or can I start sending mail to him. ARE THERE  ANY GROUPS FOR MOMS WHO SONS/DAUGHTER WILL LEAVE IN SEPT

I started sending letters yesterday. I have not seen group of moms with recruits leaving in Sept
Just wondering what is his ship and division?
my son's ship is 11 and his div is 369
Well, it doesn't look like his graduation date has been posted yet, but you can check here for updates.

Thanks for that information!!
There will be a group posted if not already. I am happy to help anyway I can. My son graduates tomorrow
Thank you for you help. I know you are pretty excited!!! So does your son go straight to A school? If not will he be able to go home with you?
My son is also on Ship 11 Div 369 we received the "official letter" on Saturday his short comment stated they have not started physical training yet as of last Thursday. have you come across any specific training schedule, a week by week agenda? He mentioned it was going relatively quickly but no mention of exactly what they are doing. I mailed some letters on Sunday and it is hard to try to motivate when I am not certain what he is expected to do each week. I have read about the battle station but that seems to be at the end of the 8 weeks.
Here is a link to a general schedule of what they are doing

Thank you so much for the link the information on the general schedule is exactly what I was looking for to assist with the letters.
You're welcome
Hi! My son left last Tuesday from Syracuse, NY. He called at ten pm also. A very short call but great to hear his voice. I just got his clothes box today. I sent him a letter but haven't received his letter to home yet. It is tough but I'm proud of him!
