TAGS, that's good that she is forwarding it to you. You are probably right about him not knowing your new address. They may get The Form Letter for the same reason.
Check your My Page.
Hi Lulu !!! I haven't received nothing yet !!!! Lets hope this week...
Hold off on mailing your letters until you receive the official address in the form letter. Here's what the RTC public affairs office has to say.......
Do not depend on your local recruiters to have an accurate address for your recruits. Some recruits do change ships (barracks) during the first couple of weeks, thus, the initial address you may have obtain from a recruiter will be incorrect. Recruits can begin receiving and writing letters the first Sunday they are in their permanent ships (barracks). They spend anywhere from one to two weeks (depending on what division they were placed into) in a different location on base. Any mail sent to them before they are even in their ships may possibly be delayed reaching them by up to three weeks. All letters must have a complete/accurate address that includes a recruit's division number. Misaddressed letters will be delayed in reaching your recruit. To ensure you have the correct address for your recruit's ship, visit our website at: www.bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp
