FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

my son leaves for basic training Aug 13th

My son will be leaving from 81st Louis cardinals game Aug13th. He reports to st louis the 10th. This is my first child to join military and I'm so proud but so very scared! So grateful to have here to ask questions and get support

Just called recruiter. My son is division 343. Pir 10/9, on ship us Arizona ship 14

hi my son left from Boston on 8/12 th should I asume he is going to have a PIR date of 10/9 ? You are so lucky that your recruiter had this information. Do they all have access to their recrutes PIR date? I would feel like I was bothering him if I called.

No qualms here, lol.  I just called my son's recruiter; I should have the address later today.

Assume nothing, other than information from Recruiters is not definitive. Wait for your son's form letter for address and PIR date.

Thanks for the info. I did speak to My son's recruiter today who told me that he is currently in div 339 and has a PRI date 10/9. He also told me that things can change too. The box of stinky cloths came yesterday but oh how I love his stinky cloths! I want to be part of your cardnals company because my mom is from Edwarsdville and I spend a lot of time going out there to Cardnels games and visiting family.
