For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Im hoping to find other moms out here that have a son/daughter going to boot camp at the same time. It is only 1 week away I have so many emotions, hoping Im not alone. Not sure how Im going to handle my life without my son at home. Oh my goodness trying so hard to be strong but it is not easy.

Im near Chicago, IL do you know a date for the graduation? Our son just informed up that he has to be at the recuiters office on Monday oh my goodness, what is your sons name, how old is he? My son is Brandon he is 19, he is going to be a Corpsman with a Marine unit what about your son what position will he be? Are you freaking out at all?

I'm excited because I know this is the beginning of a new in his life. However, I'm sad as I know it may face a few hard days and nights. He's very excited and I am too. I just want this bootcamp to be over with! I've been cooking dinner everyday and I plan on taking him to breakfast on 31st. He knows I love him but I guess I just need to go the extra mile in showing him and telling him.
Damage Control - he says it's Fire Fighter and Engineer.
We are from Western Maryland. He will be flying out of Balitmore. No nerves here yet. I'm excited for him to begin his journey.
my son leaves for on Wed we had his party last night and his last sunday in church this morning. Wow it is really going to be different , so excited for him
We are doing the same, daughters party today, all 5 of my kids here too!! We are excited for her, and she will be missed terribly. Good luck!!

my son is leaving 31st and leaving from meps on the 1st.... He is my only kid and so very going to miss him but excited for him all the same...He is leaving from Indianapolis.....
