There are several within DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in June. Just look back at the recent posts.
My son also left on 6-4. The phone call was bitter sweet. I was glad he had made it ok, but could hear in his voice that he was scared. I have not been able to sleep or stop crying. I am very proud of him and want to be strong for him. I hope things get better like everyone keeps telling me they will.
My son left on June 4 for GL and he is my youngest as well. The house is very quiet. This is a great site and I appreciate being able to connect with other family members who are going through the same thing. I am just trying to take things one day at a time. It helps to write him a letter each day, which I am saving to mail him when we get his address.
Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in June, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together.
You may want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. Once you know your SR’s PIR date and/or division number, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and/or at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.

Watch the videos. Join the Boot Camp Moms group. Soon a group will form for those with the same PIR date. Look for the box (it'll be a shock to get it - be ready to cry), then the form letter will come with important information such as PIR date, password to print parking pass, the names of the guest your son/daughter listed and maybe even a short line from your recruit. SAVE this form letter, make copies. Then start searching for good air line prices.
Good luck. Welcome to Navy For Moms.
My son left June 5th and got there yesterday on June 6th. He is my oldest and only son. My heart is also broken. I worry about what he is going through and there is no way for us to know. Praying for all of our babies and their mama's.
You can have a general idea of what is happening by checking the links and videos about it in such places as Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I invite you to join that group while you are there and to check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) as well.

My son also is the oldest and left on the 5th. He decided not to send a box home so waiting for a letter is killing me. Have you received anything from your son?
