For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

The videos really helped me alot. It seems that the more I learn about the Navy, the better I can deal with Tristan being gone. I spent 4 hours cleaning his room and organizing his stuff. It may sound crazy but it helped me feel closer to him plus I found a lot of things I thought I had lost..lol. I am from NC. I have family in GA. They are in Eastman.

It doesn't sound crazy at all. It helps you deal with it knowing step by step what's going on with him. Plus when he writes about some of this, you'll understand what he's talking about. I did the same thing in kyles room. I still haven't tackled his closet, his top shelf is crazy lol. But I do feel closer to him in his room too! Eastman is not far from me at all. Maybe an hour or so. We bought a car from someone for my oldest there a few years ago. :)

I got a phone call from my son. It only lasted a few minutes but it was great to talk to him. I am from a small town in NC just outside Charlotte.

It was so great to hear from him! It really made my day! He said so far he is happy and doing well. I had to laugh when he told me he can't sit down because the peanut butter shot left a knot on his butt. When I asked him where he was, all he could tell me was ship 3. Now I am looking forward to another call or that first letter.

My form letter came today. Now it is time to sit down and write the first of many letters. I can't wait to get his first letter.
