For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ha! That was probably me. My son left Aug. 2nd and called today from medical about allergies to penacillin. VERY short call. 55 seconds according to my cell phone. So far, no box has arrived here but he may have sent it to his dad's house. But that form letter better come to me!!! LOL!! There is a link that tells what all they are doing on the different days. Have you found that one? There are actually a couple of them, but I don't like the About dot com one as well as the other one. I'll go look and see if I can find it. I have it bookmarked on my iPad. I'm sorry you are struggling today. I have been crying since day 3 - took a bit to really hit me, I guess. I wonder how much more I can cry? Surely we will all adjust to this soon. I agree, though. It's really, really tough!

My hubby called yesterday asking for me to fax birth certs for kids and i, ssn for kids and i and marriage lic. It was like a 2 minute call or around that. Hubby also has a pen. Allergy

Do you have a graduation date yet? I saw someone else say that their SR left 8/2 and has a grad date of 9/28. I had figured it would be 10/5. My son's recruiting office is closed all week so I have not been able to get his ship/div numbers or anything yet. He's going to be that poor kid with no letters when everyone else starts getting mail! :(

I got my husbands box yesterday btw. Searched everything in the box to see if there was a letter in the box no luck! I guess that will come later on this week

My boyfriend left August 1st and this week has been going by really slow but we received the box and I just wanna get a letter

Aug 2nd DEP and got our box today.

I feel like this week has just been dragging as week 1 so far. Anyday i should get his letter, and its been raining everyday since he left. I have been rushing to the mailbox everyday now. I love that hes doing this for our family but theres some stuff i wish i thought of before he left. The cell phone should have stayed with him. I wish he had been there today for our sons 2nd b-day! I know there will be years he will miss birthdays though.
