Does anybody have a son/daughter that went in to boot camp on May 11, 2010? I am missing my son so much and wondering if anyone has advice on how to get through the 8 weeks of waiting for Graduation. He is in Div.234.

Its a wonderful but mental exp my daughter said the only hard part for her was the running. And the people screamn in ur face. So for the most she said it takes a lot of humility to get thru she just graduated May 21, and they sent her to Pensecola for training w Aviation. Now ur not going to get no phone calls, but they will call soon as they can. We will keep them in prayer.
hello Makeba, my daughter is in bootcamp right now, but she will also be going to AV training in pensecola, please say a prayer for us also.thanks!
Great, my daughter grad may 21. and she just waitin @ Pensecola because she said their class have not started yet I guess they r waitn on more to graduate, when is ur daughter grad date. I will definetly keep her in prayer. Jamie my daughter told me things are a lot better now, because she has her cell phone and they are able to go the mall and around the surrounding area's of Pensecola. She said she get a lil frustrated because she miss home, but thats normal. And after her training they will let her come home for about 14 days, so I cant wait, but since im in Georgia we may take a ride to see her and go to the beach if its not polluted by that oil. Yes, we will keep each other in prayer and family. I try to stay busy so I will not worry a lot, but im glad she grownin up and she doing really good in dealing with responsibilities. Please keep in touch Charlotte

Hello Proud mom,

My son left for Great Lakes April 20. I am getting through this by writing to him daily, praying for him and keeping the rest of the family together. I have crying sessions and I found it helps to reduce the stress. The thing I keep in mind is that he's going to be fine. His recruting officer told me that the first week is the toughest for them. Just keep writing to him even though he does not have a chance to respond. He's getting your letters. I send funny cards and funny pictures as well. Hang in there, mom. He'll get through it..... :)
Yes, your son is going to be good, my baby girl just left from Great Lake, she in Pensecola. I know sometimes we feel helpless I know I do, but I just keep praying to God, that he will cover her with his Angels. Prayer works and I will too keep ur son in my prayers. And I too cry, but im tryn to be strong for her and the others. This forum is a great place for us to release tension. Let Go & Let God Forever in Makeba Prayer

HELLO, I FINALLY GOT A LETTER TODAY FROM MY SON. HE SOUNDED A LOT BETTER THAN HIS COMMENTS ON THE NAVY FORM THANKS.
I also heard from my son today,he sounds good,a little homesick. I cried as I read it,I miss him so much. But graduation is July 1st so it wont be to much longer. Have a great day!!!
Hello My child not in ya division,,,,Yes, I know how difficult this can be not known whats going on with ur child, now I do know I went thru the same thng u went thru my child graduated May 21 and I didnt hear much from her but after 2 weeks I started gettn letters and they get a call as soon as they get there to the base, and usually u may or maynot get a call it depends. If ur child not drained from training they will write often if not which means their tryn to focus on bootcamp. Once the weeks start narrown down u will hear from your baby, but please dont expect to much contact. Continue to keep your child in prayer as i will too. God Bless you. Makeba
