My sailor actually said last night that they had been told that grad hold could be longer than usual due to one of the facilities in NY was now down in addition to moving one to SC and had to get it to SC and ready for classes.

But, as with everything else, I guess we'll have to "hurry up and wait" to see what really happens.

That's what I've heard (and noticed, too!).

It seems like all of the EMs in Aaron's class that stayed in SC classed up right away. Those that requested NY were either sent directly there and put on grad hold or  told to stay in SC (some believe they'll still be moving up to NY) on grad hold.

I guess none of us will ever know for sure since all we really hear is rumors. :P

I'm going to say this, and then I'm going to do my best to ignore each and every single post I ever see from you again. Because, quite honestly, you drive me insane. I've held my tongue for as long as possible, and I can't do it any longer.

We're all here to help each other understand what our sons/daughters/Signifcant others are going through. No one is here to compete or try to see who has the most correct information... We're just helping each other learn about the program.

And for the record: The only person concluding "that ONLY the information we have is correct" is you. You know that little line I leave in all of my posts that you attacked me for a few days ago "I'm not 100% sure" or whatever I said that will let people know that I'm not always right... I leave that information in there because I make mistakes.

I don't know what your problem is with me or anyone else for that matter, but I know that absolutely no one here appreciates you attacking other people and the information that they got from their sailors or other moms or other significant others. Absolutely no one here knows everything. Dear lord, not one of our sailors knows everything because they're barely told anything.

Alright, I'll step off my pedistool and go back to being myself again.

Sorry to those who I offended, but NF Mom has stepped on my toes one too many times, and I'm tired of being looked down upon by her.

uhhh....ummm...did anyone see where I put my package of oreos?  I think I'm gonna impail myself on

a few before I re-read this discussion.  LOL...  NF Mom, I've decided you're a nuclear physicist incognito.

I LOVE YOU, but your writing is so technical and detailed, you lose some of us.  I know your intentions are

pure, and that you just want to help.  We just need you to install GOOGLE TRANSLATE and translate your

responses into "SIMPLIFIED NAVY SPEAK" or "A-SCHOOL 101"!!!  or "NEW NUKE MOMise" for us...

Emily, I love you, too.  You speak up for yourself, and we need your thoughts, too.

If there are delays, let them come.  If there are holds, send another care package.  Tomorrow the sun will still

shine, and no matter what happens in the course of our NUKES' careers, our love for them and for each other will be

the anchor we need to sail safely home!

I feel like I'm reading "Big Bang Theory" !!!!!  Swim, Oreos are my favorite as well but I had to take myself off all white (bread, sugar, rice, potato, etc.).  Need to get some weight off and my doctor gave me this great diet to try and so decided to dive in.  Got a cruise coming up early November and hoping I won't look too bad in a swim suit by then ..... I'm determined!

you crack me up

Penny I hear you.  Just talked to DIL and she said, "Mom, when you come next month, bring a bathing suit"  I said first I gotta find one that will hold still all my floppy parts!!!  That's why I'm walking the treadmill everyday in my ShapeUps and my flipping legs are going to combust cause my muscles are ON FIRE!  Don't want my kiddos embarrassed by moms jigglies while wearing shorts in Charleston!!!

PS I secretly LOVE Sheldon.  I would love to just blindly put people in their place without any regard for their feelings or worrying that they actually have feelings!

I think I need to go watch all the seasons of the Big Bang Theory. I've only ever seen small snippets, but I've loved what I've seen. :)

Yet another idea to fill my time while waiting to talk to Aaron. :)

Big Bang Theory is to Nukes that Days of our lives is to lonely housewives.  BBT is my son's favoritest (new word) program in the world.  He purchased all of them on DVD so he could watch them over and over.  What a geek!!!

TN - OMG, I decided that I'd read your note BEFORE going pee and man, was I sorry.  About wet myself reading about your jigglies and floppy parts!!!!  Head tears about running down my legs.  I have the same problem and it's gonna take a while to get them back into shape.  Really hoping that by the time my son finishes Power School, I will have been transformed into a beautiful princess .... wait, I mean a slender "older than the rest of them" body!!

Once I got past a certain age, not saying which one, I realized with absolute certainty that gravity is not a woman's friend.

Neither was sunbathing in iodine and baby oil in the 70s!  My dark spots I swear are iodine deposits!!

Well, talked to my don Daniel a few days ago. ( DG for purposes of son's  initials) He started his classes (he is an et) Monday. Says basically it seems like an eval. to see where everyone is at. 13 hours of school and 2 of studying. He is not the talkitive type so I don't know what questions to ask. Please keep your information flowing so I can kep up.
Thenks!

Joann,  glad to hear he started class!  My son (RD) said he doesn't start until Monday, and he's an ET, too.  He called in a panic yesterday to tell me that the ATM at the NEX ate his debit card, so I reminded him how to get a new one.  Maybe he won't spend money for a couple of days!  He received his 3rd care package...and instead of saying "thanks, Mom!" he asked if those were REALLY his shoes...???

  thanks, bobbysproudmom...

Have a great weekend, everyone.  Sunday is our 30th anniversary.  Hard to believe, since I'm only 29!!  (lol)
