Am I the only one that HAS NOT received the much anticipated phone call yet? (PIR 12/3)

united we stand by our phones....literally for me anyway...I'm afraid to
leave the house !! I don't trust my cell, it turns completely OFF on it's
own...so glad that I'm not the only neurotic mom still waiting for that
highly anticipated phone call. Did he tell you that he's "in charge" in
any way? Such as "ship staff"? That seems to be the common ground.
thanks,
Vanessa
My son is in charge of the watch list, but other than that I do not know. No letter today, sad because I was expecting one. I look on here for more information to fulfill the need....sigh...
Does she have a calling/phone card?
we are at wk 3 and just FINALLY got the first letter. seems like everybody on here that is in her same ship/div that i've talked to has rec'd a phone call and we have not. seems like all is going well with her div. but no call from her yet..i eat, sleep, shower, everything with my cell near me...dont want to miss it when it comes, NNM's Neurotic Navy Moms..lol
Hey jessica's mom...we haven't gotten a call yet either, so you're not alone. I am also attached to my cell phone! Sounds like we're in the same boat (or ship...lol) Hope they call soon!
agreed!! Has your son told you in letters that he is "ship staff"? I can only assume that's why we're NOT getting our calls...please post when you get your call if you find out anything...
Vanessa
My son is Mail Petty Officer and Education Petty Officer...I just have to imagine that the night study keeps him busy. He better find time to call soon, or I just may get cranky. As soon as i do hear from him I will ask him about it and post.
Haaa-hhaa..too late for me !!!!!!!!!! I'm WELL beyond cranky !! Believe it !! Sometimes I just can't stop crying...i feel like im the only one that hasn't heard from their child...Please post if you DO get a call, & i'll do the same.
Vanessa
Hi Vanessa,
My son was given the privelege to call and I missed the call (heartwrenching)...he let me know in his message it would be a long time before he'd be able to call again. I think the recruits with the most responsiblities have very little time for writing...my son has only sent us 1 letter a week...and they are ending with gotta go.
makes sense..thank you !!!
~Vanessa
aaww PJ so sorry you missed him.. even when we got our call, it was kinda hard, my daughter sounded so home sick. everything is going well but she sounded sad, broke my heart and tried to stay cheery but wanted to cry...that was saturday...the crying part caught me today...had to close my door to my office for a while today...ugh...
dont get yourself anxious over something you dont know will happen yet....we will know what is going on soon...until then think positive....I still have not recieved a phone call either...Just loving the letters i have recieved.
