For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

He MAY be delayed depending on how long he has been treating it and if the doctor at MEPS considers it an active case.

So maybe it was YOUR son who passed pink eye to the recruits already there!!! LOL. My SR told me in last weeks call or maybe it was a letter that a new kid came in and had pink eye! A really bad cold/cough was already going around which caught my son and he spent a day in his rack, which he said was NICE cuz he got to sleep all day.

Lol, sorry to hear they got pink eye but not my son. Unfortunately they delayed him, because of it. He got a call this morning however that said he would be picked up tomorrow morning by the recruiter to try again. I think there are no illnesses now so we should be good to go. Glad your son enjoyed a day in the rack, bet they all wish from that occasionally.

Cleared meps today shipping out tomorrow apparently holding to start with next week's group, so I think I will move on over to the leaving in June group though technically he leaves tomorrow.

Great!!! There will most likely be some from each group with your future Sailor since others arriving today through the wee hours of Friday may have extra P-days to wait for others to arrive on Monday and/or Tuesday to fill the division. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC.
