Hi Mom's

My son is scheduled  for PIR on 2/4/11 an assigned to ship 11 div 061. I could not find any groups for moms who's sons are assigned to ship 11 div 61. Sooo I am hoping we could get together here and compare notes from our sons.  I dont know much about this division, I have read from other moms that certain divisions mean certain things.  Well I hope to hear from you guys :)

My Sr also. He said he was going to go in and not make any waves. His recruiter told him the best thing to do is 'become invisible'...just put your time in and get thru it. And to think that these kids all have good intentions and do their best, but still get punished is making me sick.

I was under the impression that they weed these kids out around the 5th week, but i guess they are just going to let these kids graduate with ours...like its no big deal.

Sorry...lol...im just really frustrated. I know my son..he was so good at basketball, but my husband pushed him SO hard,,and never seemed to be happy...then my son started to hate basketball.. He started to dread going.. and im worried that this is going to end the same way  No matter how good his intentions..it never seems to be good enough.

I dont know why im telling you this....sorry.

please let me know if you hear anything else. Im sure thats why we didnt get our call on the 20th...it must have been revoked...blaahhhh...

It's ok, venting is good. I feel like the exact same way, MY SR tells me in his letters that he hates how he is trying so hard and yet it doesn't make a difference, he has thought about quitting just cause he is so over the people who don't even try. He won't though cause he knows he has to do this. It's just awful how this has played out. I am still bummed about not phone call, I keep hoping maybe we will get one this weekend but probably not. I really want to talk to him before BattleStations to try and cheer him up, ugh so much to talk about, especially since he just proposed to me over the last phone call, there is so much to discuss! i cannot wait for graduation.

Lets just pray that they get thru batlestations ok and that everything goes well. I got my son a card that says  'someday you will look back on this time with wisdom and experience and think... (open card) WOW that really sucked"  lol   How TRUE !!! hopefully, it will make him smile and realize that its over and he needs to just look forward.

Im going to be as supportive as i can...i never let him hear me complain (you guys have to listen to that !!)  Thank you all.

Thanks for the info and hope to see you at PIR :))

The letter I received form my son was from last Saturday! 1/15/11. Received it on Friday. !/21/11. It take his letters five plus days to get to us. Yikes!   I pray that last week was much better for the Division. My son really seems to be doing well! He did mention there are some that dont pay attention. But improving!  xoxo   Team There is no I in team. xoxo
Someone told me that the hardest part for most of the SRs is the team part. By the end of bootcamp it all comes together.  xoxo

hi michaels mom--i ran into a sailor at the store the other day and stopped to chat with him for a minute. I told him about my sons division having trouble coming together as a team,  and he said that whenever you get that many boys from all over the country together in the same room, there is always going to be that problem.

My sons recruiter told him the same thing before he left for BC. I just hope it doesnt effect their graduation...or their spirit. :))

I hear you!  This is so hard! Im trying my best to stay optimistic! lol  Im sure they are fine!! But we arent! lol

Can you guys beleive its only ten days away??!! All the crying, worrying, and praying and its finally coming to and end.

I cant believe its only been 7 weeks since we were at MEPS saying goodbye. It seems so long ago!

Im hoping this next week comes and goes quickly, i cant wait to tell my son face to face how much he has been missed and loved.

I cant wait to show him this website!! He will actually be able to see how crazy we all were/are about our SR's.

Great Lakes..here we come!!!

I cant wait! I printed out the Gate Pass. So exciting!!!!   Oh Boy, ten more days my friends!

michaelsmom--i sent you a friend request a few days ago..If you noticed it and arent taking requests..thats fine..lol

But if you didnt notice,,look up in the right hand quarter of your page when your out of this page, and you should see it :)))

Thank you! didnt notice that area. lol

Printed out my Gate Pass!! Ahhh...I am so excited, yet oddly nervous at the same time. I think I am just scared with how he will be after bc. Especially since he proposed to me during bc I just want to make sure he is the same guy I fell in love with, I mean I'm sure he is...idk just all these crazy irrational fears in my head. I am sure the weekend will go by so fast :/ I know I shouldn't be thinking about some of the negatives but I can't help it. I can't wait to see him but I know leaving him again will be so much harder, especially now that we are engaged. Sigh...guess I just have to get used to this military lifestyle...sorry you all just ranting, hopefully by doing this I can get some sleep tonight.
