I just found out for sure that my son is 7/30,,,,I don't know anything else....yet....
My son just told my parents his A school is right at the Great Lakes training center. So, I guess we may get to see him Friday & Saturday? We will see. As long as I expect NOTHING...I will be thrilled just to see him. Still no phone call.
Hello to all !
My name is Jessica my husband Mike is in division 253 ship 10. It's so hard to be without him for the first time!! This morning i dreamt that we were cuddling and i woke up and got so upset! Only 29 more days until graduation! He also got offered honor guard so i guess he is doing good. They are all very tired standing through 14 hour days with only 15 minutes to eat etc. ! I give all the SR's lots of credit for doing what they are doing, for whatever reasons too!
Hi everyone found a cool link to navy boot camp video's on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdHt56NdERo&feature=related
Are you kidding me with this? I was crying my eyes out for the ENTIRE video. Seriously though...thanks for sharing!!
I thought it was just me. It wasn't really the bootcamp videos that made me cry as much as the graduation day video. I thought it must have just caught me at a weak moment. I showed my sister yesterday, and she started to cry as well and now wants to also go to the PIR. We just attributed this to Lee Greenwood's Song - God Bless the USA. LOL
Thanks! Yea I'm staying for a few days I. Hope I get to spend as much time with him as possible. I feel Like its getting harder to be without him. Only 27 days!
Hey, the PIR video got to me too. We better all bring plenty of kleenexes because I know we will need them.
Can anybody tell me what the kids initials will be after they have finished boot camp? Right now they are SR, right? What comes next??
Aloha Navy Moms..
cant wait to see my son.. I am on the island of maui, and he seems to be doing well.. He was promoted too E-2 and is AROC 2nd in command. He did not like his job at first, said he did not like being in the spotlight. But in his latest letter's he is gettng use to it and his Division is coming together, he said they are rolling on all cylinders. .He seems to be passing all of his tests. He said they study all the time... Lots of tests. He said that they were learning now to Rig the Ships lines, and it is very dangerous, as the snap from the Rope can travel as fast as a 45 caliber bullet. He says the food is good, they talk in hand language since they only have 13 minutes to eat. Food is good, salad bar.. He seems to like it. I send out about 2 letters a week. see you all on July 30... Aloha
Wow we all though we had far to travel. Welcome we are glad to hear from you. It sounds like your son is doing ok. What ship and div is he in. Debbie
If you have not done so already please go to the event calender and RSVP for the Meet and Greet at the Ramada on Thursday evening. You Do Not have to be staying at the Ramada to attend. I am looking forward to meeting everyone.
