Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son told me there were 5 sections of MM's in this Power School class. And alot of guys from Texas.

After all of our sailors are back to the grind stone we should work on a meet n greet for the Thursday before graduation. It would be really nice to meet everyone.

Just returned to N4M after being away for too long and here is a group for the class my son is in! How fun! I don't know as much as you all know about the MM, EM stuff from him. We mostly talk about personal stuff when he calls. He is doing well and it was such a pleasure to see him for a few days over Christmas stand-down. I hate it when he leaves and know this will be my life now that my baby is a man.

I know what you mean about hating it when your son leaves. My son is on the train now on his way back to Goose Creek. It hurts. He left almost a year ago for boot camp but it is still hard to see him leave again. I will be sad for a few days but I know he is grown up and has a great future ahead of him. Just need to keep busy. It is easier knowing I can talk to him on the weekends. During the week he is too busy with classes and studying. It also helps that my daughter is in port and I can call her too. She has a new boyfriend so she is busy too!

My son didn't come home for Christmas but we've talked a lot on Skype. It's expensive to fly back and forth so he is waiting and saving his money and leave time. This whole year has been a year of adjustments as it was the first year we didn't get to celebrate his birthday because he was in boot camp, and we didn't get him for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I understand as I have not lived close to my family for a long time and don't see them on most holidays, but it has been a new thing from this side of it.

And I know what you mean about the expense of flying back and forth. Rates for the holidays were extremely ridiculous! Aaron chose to drive home... A 12 hour drive. He left this afternoon, and should be getting back to base any minute now. I've been trying to keep him company all day, but the Navy really nails in the safety of driving into their heads. I still think its better for me to talk to him rather than him fall asleep, but that's just my opinion. :)
It must have been nice getting some extra Skype time in with him, though! Maybe he got some extra study time in, too? Hopefully some good relaxation time! :)

I think I may have seen that episode!! I'd kill to have a job on that show... :)
Luckily he's smart enough to know when to pull over and take a small nap before starting again. I'm just glad I wasn't driving with him... I could barely handle it when he drove an hour to the Cheesecake Factory when we went out to dinner.. I about had a heart attack!

Hi Ladies!
Haven't been on since November, but since dropping Jordon off at airport yesterday, getting lonesome again, and know this site always makes me less lonely! LOL Lots of new people on here since I've been on, so thought it'd be nice to reiterate. My son is an MM, class 1101-6 and from TX. Anyone else in that class? He has mandatory study at 1800 today :( . He sounded pretty down on the phone, especially after being home since the 17th, but I know once he gets back into the swing of things, he'll be fine in a few days. Anyone else with a sailor in that class???

Aaron is an EM in 1101-2.
Sometimes I wonder if Aaron's roommate is one of your sons! He's from Texas, too! Where did all these Texas Nukes come from!?!?
Aaron was pretty down yesterday about going back. I think he's getting a little better now. Heck, even I'm down about getting back into the swing of things with school!

I know! Jordon said there's a bunch from TX, but he doesn't really hang with any of them.! His roommate is from Utah. He's been very lucky where he's liked both of his roomies so far! I've heard all of the stories of the other! LOL We may be driving up there in March for spring break and I need to go back on prior posts to get info on the villa. Hopefully this time I'll stay more in touch with everyone on here! TTL
