yeah, glad the coins got there.  One less thing to worry about.   I figured they had learned the last new stuff last week since they had a final last Friday too.  I think they are all really numb right now.  Sooooooooo much stuff going through their heads.
Starting my prayers for 1104 comps, they should be done this time tomorrow!  Also wishing safe travels and a wonderful visit for all of you heading to Charleston this week!

My son told they wont hear anything til 6 or 7 tomorrow night.  That is unless they didnt pass then they should hear around 3 or 4.   Fingers crossed and prayers being said for all our "kids".

6 or 7 tonight?  Oh, no.  I was hoping it was something they'd know right away and he'd be able to call me in a few hours and said he'd passed.   Guess it's going to be a long day for all of us.

I got my coins today. i was late ordering them and thought I wouldn't have them until the day of graduation so was resigned to sending them to my daughter.  I was surprised to receive them today!  I talked to my daughter today and she doesn't seem to be the least bit worried about tomorrows exam....I hope this is a good thing and not a case of over confidence!  She was more concerned with us getting to the base early enough to get a parking space. She says parking is hard to come by.  I can not wait!

Motherhood has its challenges no matter what age or stage of life our kids are in.  Our kids will never understand until they have children of their own! We never stop worrying, loving and hoping.  I was a basket case when my daughter was in bootcamp...got in lots of trouble for visiting the N4M website too much at work...LOL. Once she made it through that and loved it I relaxed a bit.  I probabaly will back in that mode once she finishes training and goes off to wherever she may go!

Prayers are going out to all our sailors taking this test today and to you and your family Pollyanna/ Can't wait to hear about the arrival of the new grandbaby!

FOR FRIDAY 10/7 ... how early should we get to the base? I know PIR at GL  let people get seated early. Inside or outside seating at GC? What address for GPS directions? Any info would be appreciated ... we have to coordinate gathering up a girlfriend, a buddy, and ourselves (1st time inCharleston) so it would be great to know what to expect. Also, are our sailors "free" immediately after graduation? As in, we can go out to lunch together off-base?
The invitation we got had a map on the back of it, didn't it?  I don't know how detailed or exact that map is, but wouldn't there be signs pointing us in the right way once we got to base?  Somebody said their sailor was concerned more about getting there early for good parking as opposed to seating.  I know the graduation ceremony is outside unless it rains.

Yay! Comps are over. 11 didn't pass... I sure hope the Navy takes into consideration how hard these guys have worked, and how much is invested in them, and lets them take comps over (you never know, some may have been fighting the flu, etc.).

"2.5 to stay alive" ... they CAN do it, and I pray they get another chance. I'm confident they know the material, it's just that some people aren't great test-takers. If they've gotten this far, they deserve another shot.

My son warned us that if he didn't pass (he did), he wouldn't be allowed to see us ... had me freaked out with fantasies of sneaking onto base to visit him!  Haven't seen him since Dec. 30.

I got the call too, son passed!  Of course he first told me that he hadn't, but he isn't very good at pranking so I didn't actually believe him.  It was really noisy, sounded like lots of people together, so we didn't talk long.  Just relieved it's over.  Congrats to everyone who passed!
my son called and he passed - yeahhh.  Now to finish packing since we leave early Thursday morning.
Yea..my son also passed....Leaving tomorrow at noon and will get to Charleston at 3:30pm...  I just got my packing finished... I could not find my duffel bag so I had to run out to the store and buy a new one.  I hate that because I can never just run into Walmart and buy one thing... That was the only store open at this time of night....lol   Congrats to all...Have a great time with you Nukes this week.
