I am so glad you ladies brought up the coin idea.  My son brought some home with him last Christmas to show us - he was very happy with them.  I had forgotten about it, but now have ordered two for his graduation.  I also bought the protective plastic cases.  Can't wait to see them!
I got the coins i ordered too.  got him the MM one and the Petty Officer 3 one, plus thew in the St. Michael for good measure.  Had the first two engraved.  Actually one with his name, rank and date for A school, since I didn't get one then, and the other one for power school.  Now, fingers crossed that all goes well and he passes.  They had a test today.  He only said "I feel like I failed it.  I just can't learn any more.  My brain has shut down."  I feel for him, and all of them, but I told him you are going to have to push harder than you ever thought possible and just get this done. You came this far and you aren't going to throw in the towel now.  Really keeping fingers crossed for all of them.

I know my daughter was concerned about a test she was taking today...haven't heard how she felt about it yet.  Usually when its good, I hear about it immediatly!

I think they are all at that point were the mind is so full its hard to think anymore.  And these last tests are the bigs ones.  Finals and then the comp.  I do not think I could handle the stress.  So I am very proud all our (boys) MEN.  I have 3 sons 25, 30,31 and I get in trouble every time I call them boys....But to me they will always be my boys, my kids....lol  I tell them I can still look down at my arms and see them in them as babies....lol  I can't wait till they have kids so the know what I mean.

Sharon, I am hitting the invisible "like button".

Aw, Sharon, you got me weepy! Isn't that the truth, that you can close your eyes and decades disappear ... my 19 yr old (only) "baby" is back in the crib when I blink.

I remember getting agravated at my mom for referring to me as the baby....Now I fully understand. Time sure does fly doesn't it?

Got my coins today, very nice quality. I got the plastic protective cases too. Hope he likes them!
I am sure he will.
Anyone who isn't going to make it to graduation, please let us know so that those going can try to get some photos for you.  Either respond on our facebook page, or send a private message.  Section number and name, so hopefully we can find your sailor and take photos.  Would be happy to at least try.

How do you find the facbook page?

send Emily - Aaron's girl a message and she can hook you up on the facebook page.  it's just private on there, if you know what I mean.  Don't want to put names on here.
