Your then Sailor will not have Leave until he completes "A" School or training.

He's in the second week of boot camp, and he signed the pact program. I was told that he won't be going to A school right after boot camp because of the program. What will be his next move and when will he be able to come home?

No, he won't go to "A" School, but he will have training and he will be able to go home after that. I left info on your My Page for you.

Thanks.... This is very helpful!

You are very welcome.

So I would like to know what kind of training will he get while he's still in GL after his BC? what is the pact program? I assumed that what my sailor signed up for too since he told me he didn't pick his career field at this moment yet...would it be wiser for him to pick it now or later?  Any information provide would be greatly appreciate it...

Hi lemonelephant..

I've read about PACT program from the link you sent..thank you so very much, I really appreciated...and the more I read, the more I am confused because I knew my sailor did pick what he wanted before he went to BC...I guess he changed his mind and now he's undesignated now :(   so there're three types of PACT: S-pact; E-pact and A-pact...will he be able to sign up for one of  them or is it qualification requirement to sign up for one of them? I am so anxious to find out...

Thank you for your help.. :)

If your Sailor went to BC with a contract for a rating and left BC with a contract for one of the PACT programs (S-PACT or E-PACT since he stayed in GL) then something happened so that he was no longer qualified for the rating and he met with the classifier and signed a new contract for E-PACT or S-PACT. He would not have just changed his mind and chose to go into a PACT program. Your Sailor will be able to tell you what happened that he had to change contracts.
His choice was based on what was available that he was qualified for.
Check your My Page; you still have changes to make.

proudmom306, Your Sailor can tell you about his training since he has started it or will soon since PIR was two weeks ago.

Check your My Page.

2K.,  how is your son doing now that he is in the "Fleet?" Please update us on this status......
