My son left on Monday the 9th and I received his box just a few minutes ago. So far everything has happened exactly how this site has explained it. I can't believe how excited I am to receive the box even though it's just his clothes and cell phone. So excited for my baby boy. Can't wait to get the form letter! I am constantly thinking about him and wondering what it is he is doing right at that moment. Boy do I miss him!

kcbnme,

My daughter is on Ship 11, Div 058 as well, we just received the letter today. I was so relieved, now I can book flights and hotels.  Have you looked at hotels already?

Ronee

Not yet.  We do have plane reservations.  My mom is going, too, from another state, so we were trying to find a flight that dropped us in the same airport at close to the same time!  Hotels tomorrow!  Now it seems more real, and him being gone is more tolerable now that there are travel plans to see him.  Not that I don't miss him...

Our letter came Saturday, but he sent it to my work address for some reason, so I didn't get it until today.  It was good to finally receive it :)

My son is also in ship 11 Div 058

Received my sons form letter today!!! It literally brought me to tears. #missmyson

He arrived late on the 10th, didn't he?  I haven't received anything yet, but I seem to be a couple of days behind most.  My son arrived at about 10:00 on the 10th.  It seems several from around then were used to fill divisions from the previous week...wondering now if we will have a January 8 graduation or December 31.

My son arrived at 10pm on the 9th, his PIR is 12/31

I am assuming they probably filled the prior division on Monday and that I am looking at a January 8 PIR.

maybe not, my son spent 8 days waiting to be placed in a division (He graduated the same day as everyone else that arrived on August 19th) :-)

Pumpkin I'm so glad you got your letter!! Where are you booking your hotel? We are going to be across street from meet @ Springhill Suites, we will both have long drives coming from Ga!!

Trying to look into the Navy Lodge but it looks like the site is having some issues. It would be really awesome if he is eligible for the adopt-a-sailor program and then I could go up a week early and be with him on Christmas and then stay through the graduation. Praying it all works out :)

I called navy lodge made reservations bofre I go tform letter they book early if u need number I give to you yes I pray my son gets adopt to I would love to go c him early n wish I hit lottery to stay all way to jan 8th is my son pir to if you don't mind me ask what div I don't understand how they determ it but mine is div o56

I have it on good authority that you will not be able to bring your son back to the hotel with you at the Navy Lodge,  don't know why,  but it may be something to check into if you planned on it.
