Hi Rxdocd - sorry I didn't get a chance to get out here yesterday.  She didn't say why she called but she said everything was going great.  I still haven't gotten my form letter though !!!  I want it so bad so I can start sending her letters.  I've already gotten the pre-paid phone cards, I plan to mail them with my first letter.

Good. I'm glad you got your pre-paid phone cards. That is such a great service! I don't have my form letter either. I called the recruiter yesterday about the form letter and he said it was still too soon and not to worry. It takes time to process them and form the groups of 80. He said if we didn't hear by next week he would call Chicago and find out what group my son is assigned to. I talked to someone else whose son recently graduated boot camp and it took about 3 weeks for her to get his form letter. I guess I'm just anxious like all the other moms. Glad to hear your daughter is doing well!

My son left 9/11 from Sacramento, CA. Got the I am here call at about midnight our time. Just got his box and letter today.
He is ship 13, Div 366. Can't wait to get a letter from him. He is 18 and graduated in June.

same here.  My son left on 9/11.  He is also on ship 13, Div 366.  I got his letter yesterday and mailed mine today.  His letter said graduation is on 11/9.  I see some others who left on 9/11 are graduating 11/2.

HI my son left on 9/12 miss him sooooo much
It feels torturous waiting to hear from him
Im reminded how cleansing crying can be
I just have to allow myself to do it more often

My sons watch came home in the box too!

Just wondering which of you that had recruits leave 9/11 have heard a PIR date yet. I am on pins & needles waiting for the letter, yet hoping it won't come for a week or two. If my son's is 11/9; I won't be able to get off of work...if it's 11/16, I will be able to go. So I am telling myself the longer it takes the better my chances are that it will be the 16th. Any updates are appreciated! =)

Hi - looking at the replies above, there are some who left 9/11 that have gotten 11/2 as the date and some that have gotten 11/9.  So here's hoping that you  get 11/2.  I am still waiting on the all important form letter too but I'm about to call her recruiter.

You should call the recruiter to get the unit and div. My son left on 9/11 and got the box Friday and Letter on Monday with his PIR 11/09... I'm so excited to see him I miss my spoil brat

Oh my...I just called the recruiter. He gave me a ship & division number; but the mailing address for a different ship (according to the RTC website). Think I better just keep waiting and worrying. =(

My son left 9/11 got his letter and box yesterday his PIR is 11/9 Ship 13 Div 366

I'm happy that you got your letter !!  I still don't have one.  I'm going to call the recruiter today (again).  I want to get a letter off to her, I'm sure it will have to be in the mail today in order to get there by Saturday.
