Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

There's been discussion about N4M's from each division wearing scarves (neck, wrist, purse, wherever...your choice) of different colors to PIR 5/6/2011 to identify with others in your division, and to recognize others as N4M's. This is purely optional, but a lot of us think it sounds fun.

 

I decided to start a discussion here, so we could discuss other matters in the group, and so it won't keep getting lost. LOL

 

These are the colors that have been suggested ... 


157- bright pink

158- white

159- green

160- blue camo

161- orange

162-silver/gray

163- Navy Blue

164- red

165- yellow

166- aqua

809- baby blue

925- purple

I have ordered my pink scarf for May 6th, Division 157.    I am waiting to book my flight for a couple of more weeks.

hey there, i too was a single parent and my son is ship 12 div 158 went in as corpsman even tho i have 2 other children 15 and 6 for a long time it was just me and my boy...i feel what you are going thru..have you received any calls or letters yet. 

@ebigirl: i cant wait to meet you too. i think im just going to get blake a pink bandana and tie that on his head or get him a pink tie. what is everybody wearing? it it formal or informal??

Are any of you planning on going to the meet and greet? we could wear our scarves , so we will recognize each other at that too. I am staying at the residence inn but I know the meet n greet is at the ramada inn.
