I am!!  I got my daughter's form letter today!  I was so happy when I checked the mail!! YAY!!!  We are just waiting to find out a bit more about when she will go to A School so we can book our plane tickets and hotel reservations!

My son is not in this group, he is in ship 7/division 357 but I was wondering when your sons shipped out for bootcamp.  My son left on 9-1 and I am really hoping his PIR is 10/28.

We got our form letter today also! It's been exactly two weeks since my SR shipped out and I saw lots of other mother's who were getting theirs last week. It was such a relief to get it and to know for sure that my letters will get to him.  I thought, given that he left on August 25th, that he would be with the other SRs who left that week, but maybe getting into the performing division (950) delayed the start of his training.  Welcome to the Navy, right?
Exactly JerrysMom - A division has to be filled before it can officially start. Wow yours left on the 25th?! That's why we tell moms it could be as short as 7.5 weeks if they are in a push division or the 9 like most recruiters mention.
TxSailormom, your daughter shipped out on 9-1?
She shipped out 8/30.  I was happy to see that it only took two days for her letter to get here!  She wrote us a note on the back of the form letter, and it was 6th... That's pretty quick!! :-)
I am very happy for you! I have heard some moms had to wait for two weeks to get the letter. I'm really hoping I get my son's letter tomorrow.
I'm thrilled!!  It was a nice surprise.  They had told me two to three weeks!

My daughter is in this group.  Received my first phonecall Friday.  She was so excited.  Believe it or not, she sounded the happiest I have heard her sound, in a very long time.  Can you believe happy and bootcamp?  Doesn't seem right.  She now has a purpose.  She was talking so fast that I could not get a word in.  So loved hearing her voice.  We booked a long weekend on the 28th.  I hope I didn't over book us for too many days.

Made my reservations yesterday for five days. My daughter is driving up with her grandpa and me and we plan on visiting Chicago Wednesday and Thursday before PIR.  I missed my son's call last Friday evening!  He did leave a message though and he was able to talk to his sister for about 15 minutes.  I think she really needed that.

Good evening everyone, I wanted to let you know that all the ribbons for this DIV that have been paid for as of yesterday have all been shipped. I am still waiting on payments from several and as soon as those payments arrive I will ship your ribbons. There is still plenty of time to order and get them in time for PIR. If anyone else would like to order some ribbons to wear to PIR just click on my name and send me a friend request or send me a message to: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com   I will be sending more ribbons early next week as I receive the payments. You can see more pics on my page here on N4M's or on my facebook page. The link for it is below, just click on photos on the left side to see the pics and then send me a message on Navy for Moms or email me to get ordering information here is a link to it: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Unique-Memory-Makers/204119052936924?...

Thanks so much, have a wonderful weekend, Lora

Okay this is really weird. I just posted a comment and it is not showing up. I wanted to give you all a heads up and let you know that all the ribbons that have been paid for have been shipped. I have several in this PIR group that I am waiting on payments for so those will go out asap when I receive the payments. If anyone has any questions just let me know, Thanks
