Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi, we have gotten the first night call saying they got there and the form letter. Our son arrived on 2/8/11 and is in ship 2 div 920. Do you suppose our sons have met? When my son called the first night he said it would be two to three weeks before we would hear from him. We keep our son in our prayers as well. I'm hoping we might hear from him on Sunday???? I hope you get word from your son soon too.

Hi Soccermom! I haven't spoken to my son either or received a letter yet. My son left on 2/3/11. It is a pretty emotional time. I also pray that my son is ok and adjusting. Not knowing is the hardest. They say that no news is good news. Have you heard what the 800 and 900 divisions are? I found out yesterday that apparently it is something special where the recruits either do instruments, chorus, flags, etc... Look it up on this site. Take care and hope to hear from you!

My daughter is in Div 920 as well. She doesn't play any instruments or anything, so I was surprised about that!! I have not heard from her either, just the form letter.

Gosh I hate this waiting. No letter or phone call yet. Looking into Southwest for the air tickets. Still looking into hotels.
Rfin - not sure why your daughter is in the unit either. Heck, I'm not sure my son is in it. I mean, yes, he does play sax and tuba, but is that the only reason for 900 units? Not sure. I wonder how many are actually in div 920. I will ask him in my next letter.

@ otty- I know I wonder to how many are in this division. It doesn't appear like alot. Also I have not received anything either. Just his form letter. I got to thinking, they have only been there for 2 weeks and you know what they say the first 3 weeks are the toughest. Im not sure if I want to hear his voice "yet". They also say no news is good news. The other day I was a little sad because all I was thinking that he probably feels alone. But then yesterday I had a feeling that he made some friends and he's not alone. Lets just pray that they are adjusting to the navy bootcamp life and they support one another through this. Next week will make 3 weeks, I hope that we atleast get a letter.

My daughter is in this division. I've received my form letter but no phone call or personal letter yet. She doesn't play any instruments and never has been in a marching band but she is an awesome singer. Do any of you guys know if any of recruits sing during the PIR?

I just got a letter from my daughter yesterday!!! She is in the choir, which is funny because she has never sang in any groups before, so maybe your daughter is as well. They will be performing during the graduation ceremony. She told me they spend 7 hours last week learning how to fold clothes! She also told me she is "kiss and ship" which means she will leave for TX Saturday morning after graduation, so I'm a little bummed about that.

Hi Ladies, Sorry I have not been on here for a while. I have not heard from my son, have you guys heard from your recruit? I am beginning to really miss him. I did get one letter last week, finally, but he is not much of a writer. So I got bits and peices of how hes doing.

Our group is small! I have only gotten the one letter last Thursday. I was hoping for a phone call on Sunday, but no such luck. I really miss talking to my daughter and getting all my random daily text messages. ;0(

I know the feeling. I am really missing my son right now. I just hope he makes friends and is adjusting to bootcamp. How is your daughter doing? My son, said that he was told that they have the toughest RDC's on base, lol

She didn't mention that to me. She just talked about how much she missed me and her brother and that she had made the choir and was a leader of something...I don't know what! I told her to ask around and see if she could find out who "soccermom" belonged to, and the others in our group, and that we were talking on N4M's!! LOL!

Wow that is sooo neat! I am so happy for you. Graduation is going to be really cool for us. When is Battle stations? From what I hear, the first 3 weeks are tough then it gets better. Im wondering what makes it get better.
