Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 02 Div 915 - our SR is from Falcon, CO (a few miles East of Colorado Springs) and we're so proud of him. Thinking of the appointment he says he has tomorrow to get 3 wisdom teeth removed, yikes!

Our SR is from Austin, Texas (though he recruited through Lewisville, TX). He also has to have three wisdom teeth removed. Interestingly enough, my oldest son had three removed when he was in USMC boot camp. Seems the military tooth fairy places high dollar value on those? (insert sarcasm smiley).

Hi everyone! My son is in Div 916. We are from Overland Park, Kansas. He had his wisdom teeth removed in November so he wouldn't have to worry about it at boot camp. He and a friend from high school shipped out at the same time, and were lucky enough to be placed in the same division!

Hi all
My SR is from Webster City, Iowa. He isn't my true son, but I am this young mans "mother-in-law" and closer to him than his blood Mom. So I feel a bit odd being on here yet, both he and I know I care more than his own Mom. I got his box, form letter, etc. he said he is on laundry crew and had to put his plumbing (the business my family owns) knowledge to work when a washing machine valve broke. Made him proud, and us, proud he got tools and fixed it. :) thanks so allowing me to be involved in your group. Not sure how graduation will work - I was on form letter...but the real Mom is bent about that. That drama is not going to change my writing him everyday or the fact that he wants me there and I will be in Great Lakes for liberty if nothing else. Anyone else's SR's heading to San Antonio (or maybe I am dumb cuz they all are)? -

Welcome Momma Shell - with your support, your son in law will be sure to succeed!!!! Our son is also heading to San Antonio after boot camp. Will study to be a hospital corpsman, ultimately to be part of SAR of FMF.

My son is in DIV 915. He will also be heading to San Antonio for A school and will be studying Master at Arms. We are from Minnesota. Glad he had his wisdom teeth out last year !!

Exactly what our young man is training for. Just an hour ago I missed a call from him. I was vacuuming n grabbed it just as it quit ringing. I am ssssooooo sad, cause who knows when I will get to have that chance again. Anyone else get calls today?

Sorry to hear you missed the call. I was lucky enough to be home to get a call, but my husband wasn't. My son sounded good - he said he has met 4 SRs that are going to be going to San Antonio with him. I bet one was your son. He said they are still working on all the drills. They took their first PFAs (physical fitness assessments) and will have 2 more before the end. They also took their swimming assessment. I am going to keep the phoned tied to me on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from now on, since that seems like the times they get to call. He said they have 1 hr to write letters on Sunday, so they won't be able to write to everyone that sends them letters.

We received our call this evening around 4:00. His voice was music to my ears! Had only a few minutes with our SR, but found out his boot camp job is mailman and he is part of the honor guard, the group that marches with the rifles. We'll get to see him on Feb 7 performing this duty and he will perform same on 2/28. His girlfriend was working and she missed his call to her; poor thing couldn't stop crying. Didn't talk about his day to day activities, just wanted to make sure we were bringing his phone, laptop, and all chargers to graduation. Said he had a speedy recovery from wisdom teeth extraction and was eating solids that very same evening. I'll sleep better tonight, that's for sure!

My son is also heading to San Antonio for Hospital Corpsman.
I know what you mean about being closer to him than biomom. I raised my stepson (not the one in boot camp). I call him the child of my heart.

Received a call from my SR div 916 on Sunday and he said that he had 4 wisdom teeth pulled last week and that meant that he has a total of 6 wisdom teeth. One is still so high up in his mouth that they didn't touch it and last year he had one pulled. He said he is okay. Does anyone know what A school is in Mississippi? Glad to see all our SR's are doing well.
