Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 928

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

He's afraid of getting caught fraternizing....he ordinarily likes girls...has many female friends all over. He's a stickler for the rules. Sometimes I think he needs to relax a little. I see pics of girls and guys together...on the other hand I read that they are supposed to eat without talking....weird, but they are probably trying to get them to eat fast.

I was wondering what you other moms are going to wear to PIR, I was wondering if there was a way we were expected to dress.. I know that it will be cooler there than where I live. I was thinking like maybe business casual?  I have never been to anything like this and didn't know the protocol.

That is a stressor for me too...I thought dress, but I want to be comfortable on the bleachers and the rest of the day. I was particularly looking on the video of the PIR what the ladies were wearing. It seems like there is everything from business casual to jeans. I was even thinking of wearing some dark blue jeans with a shirt and jacket...decent, but not too dressed up. Whatever I wear, it has to not clash with the ribbon I made! :-) this is something the guys will not be stressing about ...

I am working on my ribbon today. I have the ribbon I want to use. I am going with some gold paint for the lettering for her name and division. I don't want anything to clash either, and I also don't want to have to spend what precious little time I have with her changing outfits so as to be comfortable for the rest of the day. Shelby will be going to Virginia and I am not sure any of her close friends are going with her.... at least they will have phones and skype and can keep in contact with each other.

Dress casual will be my attire. No dress or heels for me.

I was wondering what will Madeline's job be when she finishes?

Wondering if anyone watched any of today's PIR...
Also, seeing some of the navy moms have received their "I'm a sailor" call. I believe because of the PIR performance our SR's haven't yet had Battlestations. But they could at any time. One comment I see for failure is falling asleep. Let's pray they all have endurance and alertness to finish without being drowsy. They can do this, with God's help!
Jenny/Moosemom, thank you for your wealth of information! And thank Shelby for us too! So today is a fun-day...Captain's Cup. I am happy for them and hope they all decompress with this friendly competition. It is good to know when they will have Battlestations...so we can know when and how to pray, and when we need to keep a phone nearby! I hope our son has the cell phone numbers handy in case we are both at work! Wouldn't want to miss that call for the world!!!!!!!
I do hope they are having a fun day today. I am sure there have been some stressful times so they need a little fun. If you would like to learn more about what our SRs will be doing for battle stations, there is a YouTube video called "Battlestations 21, Navy boot camp." It's about 7 minutes long, and it gives you some information about what all that they do. I thought it was helpful.
Thanks, Susana! I will be checking it out tomorrow night so I know what they are doing as they experience it. Exciting! Praying for them!!!!
928 Division Moms,
I am thinking of you all today and hoping you get your calls!!!! They are done by now with Battlestations and are probably having pizza party, at Recruit heaven getting treats, cleaning up and socializing.
From what I read, some may not be able to call home for the "I'm a Sailor" call because they have a job to do.
If you get your call, please ask your recruit if everyone passed in their division.
I am preparing myself for not getting the call. But I am confident they did well. They were prepared and prayed up. They are smart, on task and care for eachother. Just a few days now!
Also, does anyone else here have a recruite in nukes besides navy1974? There should be two others but they may not be part of this group.
We got our call! First one in a month at least...he made up for it and talked for an hour. He said everyone made it...no "man" left behind!!! Yay for them! HOOYAH! THis is one happy mom...didn't even cry! Beaming ear to ear! Next prayer needs for them is to be able to stay up till Taps at 8pm central time...if they fall asleep before then they could be failed. Pray...that they help eachother not have a sugar crash after all the junk food overload:-D
Love to you wonderful ladies! Hope you all get that call soon!
