Welcome to the discussion group for division 950.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is missing our dog as well.  We've sent him a few pictures of her. Considered bringing her with us to graduation, my husband thought I was crazy.

Anyone else having SR's ask for toothpaste? Sounds like a few are requesting it and doesn't seem possible to send that in the mail...

My son also asked for toothpaste. My daughter-in-law, Amber, sent some out yesterday. I read that we're not supposed to send them anything other than letters, but we figured if he is asking for it, it must ok.

Because space is limited in the barracks, recruits may receive letters and small photographs only. Please do not send your recruit packages of civilian clothing, toiletries, food items, etc. as they will not be permitted to keep them.

that was taken from the RTC's website.. from what i have heard it could get taken away as well as other issues.. i hope after hearing how many ppl sent toothpaste that div 950 doesnt get into trouble... i didnt send my husband anything but letters and pictures...

My mom talked to my son on the phone and he asked for toothpaste. I didnt send toothpaste but i did send DenTek Brush & Go teeth wipes. They are flat and couldnt be felt in the envelope. I figured it would be the next best thing to toothpaste.

thats a great idea!!! good thinking!!

No request for toothpaste. Did say they exercise counts are "4 more weeks" instead of 1-2-3. Still very positive.

Received letters today.  This unit is kicking butt!!! We should be proud of our Sailors.  My son mentioned pink eye so please remind your Sailors to be mindful and wash their hands.  They are entering the home stretch.  They have to stay healthy and injury free.  Very cold 29 degrees. Sounds like they had fun with weapons.  Very positive. Can't wait to see him.

My son said he had pink eye also. A bunch of young men together... I bet there's not much hand washing going on! LOL

Received letters today. Dated 10/14. These came pretty quick. He said they did an outstanding job on their first performance on Friday. Mentioned having many higher ranking personnel tell them how well they did and how sharp they looked!!! Can't wait. Very Proud.

Our time is finally here. In less than 72 hours we will be with our SAILORS!! It seems like the past two weeks have gone by so fast, when in the beginning it seemed like every day was at a stand still. Happy tears have been falling every time I think about receiving that call and seeing him for the fist time in 8 weeks.

I read a quote this morning that said " Your ultimate goal in life is to become your best self. Your immediate goal is to get on the path that will lead you there". When I read this Battle Station came to mind. Comleting Battle Station is the goal that is going to get them to the path that will lead them to their ultimate goal of becoming there best self.

Spoke to my 950 Sailor!  I hope everyone else has received their calls too:-)
