Finally got the form letter from my daughter!  I am so excited!  Anyone else have a child in this division?

Hello Ladies! Yes, it's been a while! I am on FB more often and would love to know if there is a group of something as well that I can join.  When my son was in Marine Boot, we also had a group such as this, but us mom's ended up going to FB and creating out own page (private). we are still active today, especially with so many of the boys "heading over".  :/  I received a letter from Tay yesterday and it was the worst yet.  So, I hopped out of the car from school and wrote her two cards, that I think she will be happy with.  Then called my son (who is on family leave until the 13th) and said, okay, we got the "crying letter" now it's time to step it up! So, today we'll be writing her more letters and coloring her pages, etc.  And when I told him we got the 'crying letter" he kind of just haha'd because we knew it would come.  I think I got 2 or 3 from my son in the beginning.  Now it's time to help lift her up.  With him being home for such an important leave, I have not been writing her but every other day - like I said, it's time to step it up! :)

Been chatting with other mothers on FB and we suggested that green would be a great color for our Division. So, join us in declaring "Green" our color.

I was just on a forum on FB and they picked green too, I like green. I am declaring.

Please fill me in on where I can hop in on the FB group! thanks!! :)

I'd like to find that as well...on FB daily (several times!)lol

Friend me and I'll give you the info.

So glad I finally took the time to find our "group". I have posted a couple of times on the PIR 4/13/12R group, but happy to finally see the supporters of my sons new family. I got a call from him today...my 1st "real" call (we had a couple of short security calls). We talked to 26 mins. A record for him, he's not much of a talker. He had his 2 bottom wisdom teeth out a week ago and it sounded like a pretty unpleasant experience. But after a day recouping he was back at it. He said that the division is coed and that they are partnered with 118. He also said there are more girls than guys in their division.

He wanted me to ask friends and family to send letters. I guess that's their only connection to the real world.

He sounded really good and positive. I am so proud of him for making this choice!

Hello Moms! Finally got a phone call tonight also, and my SR sounds great! He said they passed their first test ( the whole division) and that they had the highest overall score so they get to decorate a flag. He's doing great and staying out of trouble. Wearing glasses now! He was sick for a couple of days and said lots of them have been sick, but overall they're doing great. He also mentioned they had all been to the dentist and I think there were 40 of them getting their wisdom teeth out! I said WHAT - I could have saved myself $1200 bucks and let the Navy do that??? LOL! He said he was glad his were already out because it was pretty hard on the SRs to be doing it now with everything else going on. Bless your kids that had to get this done. Anyway, he said it was the best day because even though he had to have a filling, he waited in the chair for 45 minutes listening to rock music and it was awesome - made his day! Hope everyone is getting a call tonight! If not yet, hang in there, they are okay!

I posted this in the PIR group also, but I'm looking for help in getting some mail to a SR that my son tells me hasn't received any mail yet. If anyone else has a few minutes to write to this young man, please ask me for his name. He is one of ours so we need to get some love to him!! Thanks :)

I would love to write to him....especially being in my daughters division.  I'm sure she knows him:)  Let me know the address and I will send him one.

I would love to find the fb group, if possible as I am on FB more!
