I have not been doing much of anything these last few days but mope and check online.  I have read everything on this site since I found it, just about 5 days ago.  Why I haven't made the search earlier, I don't know.  It would have made his leaving for BC less traumatic.  But then again, I have been in denial until we exchanged our goodbye hugs on Monday...

I would love to hear from others whose loved ones share the same ship/div.  Mine will go to Nuke school later on and I'm so hungry for more news and info.

Isn't it weird/funny (can't seem to find the right word at the moment!) how upset we all are about our kids' leaving yet how very proud we are of what they have decided to do?

Sometimes, I start to wonder who's the more matured between my son and I :-)

my son Daniel is on ship 3 division 155 I am glad I found someone who is in the same "boat" lol just need to talk to someone who is going through the same thing as me. thanks, diane
Welcome Diane.  We are all also talking on FB on the RTC discussion page!
how do i get to the discussion page
once you are on the homepage of rtc to the left click on discussion and look for ship 3/div 155

My son is Ship 03 DIV 155. His wife received his box in about 3 days and form papers a few days later. My older son is in the Navy too so I have been through this before. This a difficult time but look forward and realized this will end and when it is over it will be a great thing for them. I am so proud of my son. He was just married last August and it is really hard on his new bride being away from him. Everyone should try and go to their SR's graduation. They are so excited to see family and friends on that day. You will never feel more proud than when you see them march through those doors....

there is nothing that could keep me back from graduation! We can't wait to see all the seaman come through those doors.

Hey there momoffive and everyone else.  Ship 3, Div 155, sounds like there is a lot of Nukes in this Division!

That is great!  Communication's never been my son's forte so I might have to live the experience through you all.  He's also got a girlfriend who I'm sure will be receiving more news than me so I expect he'd be more apt to spend time writing her missives instead of home.

hey Maddie,

my son has also been a non-communicater so I've been getting my news from momoffive. It's not that he has not written - the  letters have been lacking information!  Tyler is also nuke. Can't wait to meet everyone I have been talking to at the meet n greet on Thursday evening.

hahaha. These are just too funny.  I think I'll print them out and send to my son...he's not a letter-writer kind of guy and I'm sure he'll find these funny, too.

Thanks!
