Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 109 and 110.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thanks there is hope! I'll be by the phone like a crack head on Saturday!

Hi Everyone,

We got our 1st personal letter today addressed to her sister who is 14 months younger than her and they were best friends, as well as sisters.  My younger daughter has taken her sister leaving quite hard and is very lonely.  We are encouraging her to hang out with different friends.  We got 3 phone calls, 2 were on Saturdays, 10 min and 40 min.  And 1 on a Monday at 7:00 am PST for security info.

My daughter met an SR from San Diego going to A school in Pensacola before she left.  He drove up and met her.  I wonder if it could be your son, 3boysmom?

Hi everyone!  Good to see someone is near me in Anaheim, Kelso12!  Where is Meridien MS located and what does the job entail?

CatMom509,
So happy that your daughter/you got a letter. I'm hoping for one this week. It will help a lot since my soldier leaves for bc on Tues. and I'm having a tough time with that. My third boy is out of state at college, so my house has gotten so quiet over the last month! We are from MA so it wasn't my boy who met your daughter, although they probably know each other now :). We also got a call for security info. We are almost through another week--yea!

3boysmom,

Remember this one will be a Sailor!!  ;)

CatMom509, her A school will be in Mississippi. She's going to be an AZ which is aviation maintenance administration.

Good news ladies, I recieved 2 letters today from my daughter, I made my husband read them on the phone to me because I'm still at work. Wow....talk about a way to tug at a mom's heart. I'm here bawling, but proud at the same time. I'm so glad I heard from her finally. One letter was dated 1/12 and the other 1/15, so they probably waited to mail them out.

I'm sure you ladies will be getting mail too this week, stalk your mailperson! Ha

navymom1234 so happy to hear you got some mail! I keep checking my mailbox everyday and still nothing. I know she has been tired from her early morning watch. I'm hoping she'll have a chance to write this weekend. A friend suggested I send her a self addressed stamped envelope with the stationary included so all she has to do is write! Hope others are getting letters too :)

@ Kelso12-Ship03Div110, thank you dear!

You should get something soon. The self address stamp and envelope is a good idea, I did that in one of my letters. She did mention, that she had to sneak to write me because they don't have plenty of time and the only time to write is late at night when they suppose to be sleeping. I'm thinking since it will be there 4th week this coming week, maybe they will get some free time on Sunday to write and hopefully phone calls tommorrow.

Got a call from our daughter today. We were able to talk for 30 minutes. She sounded good and said she was enjoying boot, especially the PT! Did not expect to hear that. Lol
Did everyone else receive calls?

Hi!  Got a 50 call from my SR!!  She is sounding better from her cold, a little less congested.  I so wish the girls in her division would stop talking so much and start working together as a team.  It is disappointing that the actions of certain ones get the rest of the division in trouble with IT.  I want her division to pull it together and earn reward flags and pennants to be carried around when they march and at PIR.  Let's all pray for 109 and 110 to excell from here on out~~

YIPPEE!  Finally got my airline tickets!! My 2nd daughter and myself will be coming in to O'Hare on March 7th, 3:28 pm.  Anyone else coming in at that time to share a Sarge ride?  I will let Sarge know for him to coordinate our shuttle.

CatMom, my daughter told me the same thing. She is very frustrated with the division and the disrespect some of these girls are showing. They continue to talk and get everyone in trouble. I certainly hope they can pull it together and work as a cohesive team.

Kelso,

My daughter says her bunkmate is a tall blonde in the top bunk.  My girl is a petite Asian.  Wonder if they know each other?
