For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

I just received a call from my SR and one happy mama. He said the food is good and gained weight. He says bootcamp isn't that bad. Said it is hot today and suppose to snow next week. He sounded really good. And five minutes into the call I heard hollering in the background and he said sorry I have to go. So happy I heard from him!!

Received a phone call today Saturday afternoon. What a treat. Our son said he was wearing special camo. I couldn't tell you what's special about his camo, but he felt it was special. He is learning apparel etiquette, do and donts of how and when to wear particular clothing. He referred to the blue jacket manual (sp?)that has lots of rules he's responsible for following. He wanted to talk to his dad, but I couldn't find him in time to hand him the phone before time was up. Drats. I now have some homework for myself. I want to find out what the manual is that he made reference to.

Glad to hear you and others got a phone call. Mine son called on Saturday and he sounded great!! I also got a letter in the mail on Friday...it was four sentences long, but that is better than nothing....love that boy!

Hi Navy SR families
I will write to our SR today. I will leave out references to his grandma recovering from a hernia repair and his sister in bed with a fever. I know that our SRs are training hard and need to feel in control of their lives to a degree. At least in their minds, we are holding down the fort at home. They must follow orders and learn, learn, learn new rules and practices. I will write of the yard cat that sleeps on the lawn furniture, of his dad's purchase of a new monitor and printer for the PC, and of my completion of an online course. Seems trivial, but if I were in his shoes (or boots), I'd want to hear of the life I left behind. Especially the mundane parts.

Hello everyone what a beautiful day it's in the 80's.
Well my husband is in 177 so very proud of him. This will be the first time being apart from my husband since high school. We are also proud parents of son who graduation from boot camp on 9/6/13 and a beautiful daughter who is my rock right now. -

Hello. Wanted to share with the group that my husband and daughter each wrote a letter to our SR yesterday. I am thrilled. Neither is a letter writer. The week is starting off fine. I carried the letters to the mailbox, knowing our SR will tear open those envelopes to see those rare written words.
