Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 329 & 330. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi Jennifer. So glad you got to hear from your son! They all seem to have good days and bad days. My daughter told me she got in trouble a lot for messing up then the next letter she told me she had a great day and no mess ups. It will vary, we just have to keep cheering them on.
Did anyone else get a letter today? I got one but my son's friend checked the mail and I didn't see it till 10pm! I snapped at him for messing with the mail without telling me (he is staying with us for a while) anyway she is doing well. Was happy to report she didn't have any mess ups on Sat. She is getting the hang of things now. Super busy and misses everyone, the cats and her bed! She was upbeat and excited but nervous about the upcoming tests. They really keep them on their toes!

Got phone call also.....he is lonely and they had just did his teeth, not a happy guy

my daughter had her teeth pulled also, said she was sore and looked like a chipmunk but appreciated the SIQ/study time. Hopefully he will sound better the next time he calls or writes.

Anyone get a phone call today? I work nights so I wake at 4pm and empty the bladder first thing. The ONE time I didn't bring my phone with me to the bathroom she called! I have the anchors aweigh song as the ringtone from the number she's been calling from (calling card number) and I thought I heard it, of course I run out to grab it, missed a call and sure enough missed call-bootcamp. NOOOOOOOOO. I was just about to crumple into a pile of pathetic mom she called back. Doing well, had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and used siq time to study. It was brief but so good to hear her. Hope others got a call as well!
Got a call today also. She seems to be doing a little better. Has been on light duty because of her foot bothering her & a sinus infection. She thought it was going to be a longer call so I talked to her fist. By the time she talked to her dad she only got a couple of minutes so he's not happy with me right now. That's twice it's happened. It was so good to hear from her.

glad you got your call! I think everyone is walking around with the crud and/or pink eye over there. Hope her foot heals fast!

babbs glad to hear you were able to get that call today! No call or letter yet from my son. I think our postal carrier thinks I'm stalking him! I know that I want more for him to call and write then he does - so not too worried, yet. I'm still holding onto the "no news is good news" I hope your daughter heals quickly from the wisdom teeth pull.

does he have a calling card or heaven forbid a girlfriend? lol (they call them first sometimes) I am sending extra calling cards to my daughter to share with others who don't have one. The no news is good news still rings true!

My girl said her mouth is pretty sore but no big but she is walking around looking lie a chipmunk! LOL (she already has chuuby cheeks to begin with) She was just happy to get the SIQ time for studies. Lots of important tests this week.

Ive sent him the 9 calling cards from the calls for recruits website (kudos to them for providing such a great service) and two from a private carrier a couple of weeks ago. I also sent him stamps just in case he decides to write someone-anyone, lol. My son is not a big talker or writer so Im not too surprised I havent heard from him. He was really ready to get started with boot camp since the NAVY has been chasing him for over 3 years. He's been going to DEP meetings for over a year. No girlfriend that I know of. Dan was always more into books then girls. He liked this girl his junior year in high school that wouldn't date him and a lovely young lady from Czech Republic that was visiting last year but never had the nerve to ask her out on a date!

Sending good thoughts for all the tests the SRs have to take this week!

I got a letter and a phone call on Friday 9/7/12 he called me about 430 right as i got off of work so that was good timing. He sounded alot better with this phone call then the first one i got he said he is still  homesick but he has made new friends so that helps cause they are all in the same situation. I'm counting down the days I can't wait to see him in his uniform at his graduation and to see his face. I'm hoping to hear from him again this week now i look forward to every Friday or Saturday for that call my cell Phone has been glued to my side.
