Signed up for sarge's so far. Anybody else? Booked at ramada.

Hi i see the thing about the red scarfs....and I just booked at the ramada over the weekend.  What is Sarge's?  I feel like I am so lost...lol  any help?

Liz, I was getting worried about you! Go to the first page of the 2/10/2012 site, somewhere down the middle of the page are 3 event links you can click on. One is Sarge's. Glad to hear from you again.

hi just introducing myself...my son is on Ship 4 Div 806 - Rescue Swimmer..  I made my reservations at the Ramada....getting very excited about seeing my son.

OK well looks like Ramada it is-was lookin at all the recommendations and options-we'll probably be bringin a few family members with us so may book a suite-I know he only gets 4 guests guaranteed but from what i've read can prob able to  get more in for ceremony-Hi Liz! and Hi mindy! still waitin on a call???

Hi! Yes, still waiting, we haven't gotten the "3 week" call yet. You?

NO CALL-:( Note changed my sign-in-too much name-should I now include ship 04 and DIV? was worried about connecting-haven't made reservation yet-u think Ramada might get booked?-

I'm not sure about the Ramada, they sounded like they had plenty when I booked ours a few days ago. Be sure to ask for the Navy graduation discount.

I don't think you have to add the ship and div to your name, I did it to get a page started for our group. Entirely up to you.

Hi. My son left on 12/13 and is on Ship 04, Div. 806 also. He is going to be a rescue swimmer. I received his form letter the following week and he wrote a short note on the back. I received another letter on 12/28. He said he hadn't received any letters on 12/25, so hopefully he has gotten all the letters and cards the family sent. I am so proud of him. It brings a smile to my face and tears all at the same time.

Glad you found us! I agree with your last sentence totally. It's an obsession too, isn't it.

I've gotten 2 letters but sounds like our son hasn't received ours yet either-it really does become an obsession-I'm kinda all about learnin as much as I can so I can talk to him about this experience like I've been involved and sort of on the journey with him-want him to feel supported-and hope to help the rest of the family along as well-learning so much from those on this site as well as other recommended links-some things would rather forget like the chance of roll outs for medical stuff that sound really minor-also, is it really true they may not have any liberty at all before leaving for Aschool/Air Rescue?? ladies, lookin forward to more chats/meeting you all at graduation-don't forget RED is our color

My son's girlfriend texted me and said she received a bulk of letters from him. He just tells me how he doesn't like it their, but I think that will change soon. He left on 12/13 and his 18th birthday was on 12/14. It was difficult not being able to wish him Happy Bday and not spending Christmas with him for the 1st time. I read on http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/ that we should receive a letter stating when they will be leaving for A-school or they could tell you when they write. I will definitely have on a red scarf for PIR.
