Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son just called and asked for my husband to bring his clothes and his cell phone with him to graduation, so I guess they can have them.  He also confirmed Battlestaions is Sunday night from 9pm to 7am.  He said the division is doing really well.  They are all working together and getting good scores on inspections.  It was nice to hear him sound so good!

I got the same info about an hour ago from my son.  I am getting major butterflies at the thought of graduation next week.  So excited!

I know what you mean.  D said their div is really doing well, and have really come together.  Mines in the 1200 group; whatever that means.

yes they can have that stuff, you may be able to leave the phone with them and maybe not, you may have to mail it to them, it depends on several things, take it with you and if you get to leave it great and if not you can mail it.

My son-in-law is not able to attend the PIR and I would like to know if I can somehow have another person attend in his place? My son's girlfriend would like to go and was not originally on the list. Does anyone know if this is possible since she was not originally on the list of 4?

I have not heard from my son in a while. I know they are so busy, but to not get any word in disappointing. I know my son also said there has been a lot of "crud" going around and he has been feeling "cruddy". Ah, this is so hard, but almost there and we will see them soon!!

My son called yesterday and has 103 fever and feels lousy.  Was able to get everything done that he needed to before going to the doc and getting medicine.  Says lots of guys getting pink eye as well.  I sure hope they're all washing their hands real good.  It's highly contageous.

Just remember that no news is good news!  My son did not call me with the I'm a sailor call, not sure who he called but I knew that no news was good news.  Soon the lines of communication will open backup. Just breathe as this is training for you as in the future there will be times that you have no contact other than letters .

This site, and chatting with you all, really helped the heaviness of my son being gone. I know it's only the beginning.  I really hope that some of our sons will be staying together in pre-Buds.  Looking forward to going through this whole journey with you.
